Glad to see you're on board Lakerfan88jp. Good to see 3+ posts in this thread even if the 2nd one is paid for by somebody.
Awesome show. Interesting read about the massive weekly viewership increase if you are interested. https://www.wired.com/story/killing-eve-engineering-binge-watching/
Didn't really like the finale. Eve getting into a Mexican standoff with a psychopathic international assassin/serial killer and living, just doesn't play well imo. I like the cat and mouse stuff.
Hulu gets their ass kicked by Netflix in the originals department but it's really starting to beat Netflix's ass in the licensed content department.
this show was so good. i watched it in <24 hours. i actually liked the finale... Spoiler ...just because you knew dr. yang wasn't going to shoot and so did the assassin girl. that's what made the last few minutes of the finale so fucking amazing. i just wish they didn't show the assassin girl escaping and/or there wasn't a season two. because now it feels like the seal is broken and so dr. yang can be killed by the assassin because she showed that she can kill herself.
Binged. Good show. 7.5/10. Jodie Comer did a great job with Villanelle's sassiness. Though I like seasons/miniseries that are 8 episodes long, this one could have used a couple more because... Spoiler Despite Eve Polastri giving multiple hints and outright statements that she was intrigued by Villanelle in a professional and personal sense, it was still too jarring with Eve going all "I'm a killer lesbo now" in the final scene. Two more episodes would have given time to flesh out both leads, especially Eve with her darker side. Spoiler
Sandra Oh is so ugly I stopped watching it within the first 5 minutes. She also isn't funny and is overly dramatic and annoying. If I force myself to keep watching can I get past all of this?
well you stopped watching a universally acclaimed tv show because its co-star was "too ugly" five minutes into the series. so i'd think reality-style and alternative television programming is probably more up your alley.
I mean the opening scene had her screaming dramatically like she was dying but it was actually because she slept on her arm. It wasn't funny and was really stupid. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
i was able to watch 2.1 but there's no way i'll catch up with this show until after GoT/NBA playoffs. hope s2 isn't spoiled for me.
Just finished season two. Going to start 3 off the DVR this evening. It took me a while to get hooked, then they lost me for a little while before I got sucked back into the story. Sandra Oh is MILFy.
Jodie Comer as Villanelle has to be a top 5 most dynamic character currently on TV. Her acting is off the charts. She's a fascinating character and is the primary driving intriguing factor of the show for me.
- Carolyn coming up with the name for The 12 back in her youth - Eve actually cares about villanelle - Pam is funny
