What device do you use to split to two screens? Was not aware you could do this. Might be my 2015 MBP but I currently have it as my 2nd screen and one of my two monitors as the main. I'd love to split between my two monitors and just shut the MBP.
I bought a MBP docking station on Amazon. I might even still have it. I had a MAC for work a few years ago.
oh, if you don't have an older one that you'd probably have to check eBay or local things like craigslist Idk of online computer stores who sell the older tower mac pros
Paid off our two iPhone X today. Feel like it will help me not buy whatever new phone comes out in September since I’ll be payment free for awhile.
depends on if you want one that runs 10.14 or not these two appear to be tapped out at 10.13 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-Mac-...832857&hash=item469314706d:g:P4QAAOSwIyxco9V8 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-Mac-...081631&hash=item364a74db3a:g:oDsAAOSw9nJcfsrc not seeing any with a graphics card that meet the requirements in that article to get 10.14
So I could run two mini display port to hdmi adapters rather than my one? Using an amazon basics adapter This is brilliant, I'm an idiot.
My one monitor is connected hdmi to hdmi and the other is hdmi to mini display port using the hdmi to display port adapter you can also leave the screen open and go with three screens
I’ve posted this video in here before, but I did this to my 2009 MBP and it’s now lightning fast. I didn’t even do the RAM upgrade they suggest, just the SSD. Very easy.
Depending in the version of DP, a Display Port connection should be able to control four 1920x1080 displays.
So how about when the screen goes black and says it can’t find the finder.? Tried to reboot per internet instruction but no luck.
the adapters you guys talked about above work great. I use a dock made by Plugable. It's pretty pricey though (work bought it since it's for work). To use clamshell mode, you just need an external display, keyboard, and mouse.
Just bought a new external HDD for cheap that I plan on plugging into my router so I can back up both my imac and macbook through the network. Anyone done this before and do you have any recommended videos or instructions that are easy to follow? Or is it pretty self explanatory using time machine?
Help Computer My son's friend gave him a iPhone 6 but it's Sprint and we are on a GSM network. Is there a way to do an IMEI Unlock for free or is he gonna have to pay someone to do it?
you need to request unlock via the carrier, can usually be done on their website i'm pretty sure the iPhone 6 cdma is the first one to support both gsm/cdma
Really frustrated with my iPhone. I leave my phone on silent 24/7 and yesterday twice while sitting in meetings it starts ringing audibly. I checked and it’s still on silent mode in the settings and the side switch. So I switched it off silent and back on silent. Then I restarted it. Then tested it by calling from my office line and it just vibrated. A couple hours later in another meeting my phone starts ringing again. I pick it up and check the side button and it’s on silent still. So I moved the slider in sounds to the far left. Got up this morning and my alarm volume was also super quiet. I barely heard it. Thinking about backing it up and restoring it later today. I can’t figure out why it’s doing this shit.
I wish it was that easy, the phone isn't on DND, just silent, and apparently random numbers caused it to ring as well.
Just upgraded to a new MacBook Pro. Selling my mid-2012 MacBook Pro with 8gb of ram and 1TB storage. Gazelle and those types of sites are saying it’s only worth like $175, which seems crazy since I paid over 2k. Anyone got any idea of what I should list it for?
I got an XS a few weeks ago and ever since, my watch won’t clear texts after I look at them at my phone. I have to physically go into it on my watch and read the text to clear it. If I don’t, it ends up saying 99+ new texts. I’ve gone in and made sure it’s set up to mirror my phone, but I’m assuming something got screwed up when I switched phones. What am I missing?
Yea I had an issue where I was in a group text so I snoozed the alerts bc on Sunday’s we would get 100s or notifications as it was a fantasy football group. When I upgraded a phone it failed to register the silenced notifications. So some days my watch would just be constantly vibrating. I unpaired and repaired it and it solved the problem. Well that and soaking in water.
Whenever I try and watch a YouTube video in Chrome on my mobile the video will play for a little bit then just cut off for absolutely no reason. Anyone else dealt with this problem?
Those two companies are such big competitors that they will likely not work together to solve this issue.
Just got 2nd new iPhone X on warranty/AppleCare Poor performance. Crashing. Freezing. Kernel failures and analytics showed this. So they give new phone. This one lasted 11 months. New phone = new battery!!
With iTunes going away, what happens to the music I have loaded on there from CDs? Do I lose all of that data?
