I am stoked. Now he can get the surgery and be right by the season. If he is all the way healthy and Quinn makes some noise coming off the other side, the pass rush could be very very good
There was some stat I saw where it was percentage of pass rushes won and Quinn was at the top. Great depth at DE. One DT spot away imo.
Honestly unless someone like Tillery or Lawrence makes a big slide back I’m fine with rolling with what we’ve got on the DL RDE - Quinn/Taco D1T - Woods/Collins or Covington D3T - Crawford/Collins or Covington LDE - Tank/ Hyder Additional depth - Daniel Ross, Dorance Armstrong, Caraun Reid Unless you can add an elite talent to that group that slides I would be fine standing pat. Interior lacks a special pass rushing talent but all of those guys are solid players. Woods/Ross/Covington all strong against the run and Crawford/Collins can give you some push up the middle on passing downs.
armstrong might even beat out taco now that would be a disappointment from a draft standpoint, but i’ve liked what armstrong has flashed
Crawford makes so much fucking money and I have no idea why they’re in love with him outside of the obvious reasons.
Tank’s deal opened $9.4 mil in space. Cutting Crawford could open $5.9 more. Trade a future 4th to Tampa for McCoy and sign Eric Berry to a prove it deal with the rest of your space and call it a day.
We should have Earl Thomas with that 9 mil saved. Overall fine with how FA went but they fucked up bad on that one. Signing Thomas with their current lineup gives them the best team in the NFC.
We could also restructure Zack Martin and open up ~$7 mil without hampering ourselves too terribly down the road. I’m totally on board this train. Go get McCoy and a 6th for your 5th and 7th this year.
I would definitely love to upgrade the DT spot. Watching CJ Anderson run up our gut all game in the playoffs was torture
After the first round, where do we see our 2nd round pick going? Lots of wideouts still on the board. And Dt's first that matter
If Thornhill is there I would love that. Any safety or DL and ill be happy. All that said, I trust McClay. He has proven he can draft really well. Luckily we don't have any desperate needs/gaping holes
Yeah im afraid that like him or not, we all need to make peace with the fact that hes gonna secure the bag. 30+ per probably. The market for Rosen seems thin. If they get desperate then maybe 2 4ths? I honestly don't know. I am worried that the pats will get him for nothing, groom him behind brady and then have him become a beast in 2 years
If we could get Rosen for a fourth I would be all about it but i doubt it. If we can get a S, DT, or WR (outside Deebo) I will be happy
He is ultra talented, but has had some injuries. And tbh, I dont know much about the other wideouts outside of the Ole Miss duo
I'm thinking of what I would want to give up for him vs where I value him. And if we give Dak 30 million a year I am done with the cowboys.
Yeah its not even a question if Dak is gonna get paid. Its going to be where in the top 5 he lands. Theyve already said they are paying him. Hes young as fuck and he wins. As much as you or I or anyone might disagree with the logic, its all but a done deal at this point
Saw an earlier mock picking the big WR from Iowa State at 58, hoping Will and Co. go S or DL first though, unless the kid is a Moss or Rice clone...
Butler, Metcalf, Brown, maybe Isabella are the WRs I’d want before Deebo. But hell they may all be gone in the next 20 picks.
Current production vs unknown production, absolutely. Never know down the road. Cooper is still young as well, which helps. A few pieces here and there would be nice, as far as hits. Need a capable backup to Zeke to save some tread. Wonder what Clevelands price tag is on Duke
I really like NKeal and think he’s going to dominate in the league. Not about a WR unless Brown or Butler are available but I doubt it. If thirnhill is available too, I would take him over them.
just not the biggest Deebo fan and i don’t feel like he would do much for this team. i worry about his ability to stay healthy and be productive at a professional level. really excited to see who we take tonight. *knocks on wood* but we have done pretty damn good in the draft lately and hope to keep it up
Or Frederick isn’t coming along like they hoped or they don’t intend to pay Collins next year and would like to use McGovern at LG and kick Williams to RT
