Pass rush is flying off the board we desperately needed one and he has the tools to be great just has to finally put it all together.
If Pettine truly knows what he is doing, and somebody can get ins gary’s ear this could be brilliant. It also has the chance to be a guy that has 5 sacks in 3 seasons and is cut after that time. I’m absolutely no expert but it feels like one or the other.
I can tell you one thing for sure Out of all the players on the board, he was definitely one of them.
Here is the problem. We have had a lot of shitty picks, and some great ones, what killed Packers was whiffing on a few. This guy is dumb. 2 of last 3 first rounders look to be studs, which is way above the nfl average where they are picked. It’s not fucking up in 2-3 round (which we have done since Adams) that seems to be killing us right now.
Daniels is in his last year of his contact too and probably won't be brought back. If he is it eowou be in a more rotation role
Something is obvious to me. Or I think so. 1) packers are going to try to win with defense. Not even be an average defense. Be a top 7-8 defense in the nfl 2) they expect to match up with teams and say, ‘ you won’t score much, but he difference between us and other defenses that are good is Aaron Rodgers and a run game.’ Am i alone in this thought and change of, what appears to be, mentality?
If nothing else we got two guys that are athletic as fuck. Now we just need Burks to get off a block for the first time in his life and we might have something going on D
Can never have enough good offensive linemen, especially ones that can play multiple positions (Jenkins has started at every OL position).
Moved to DE last season which sucked for him but he was our best DT for the two seasons before that you’ll love him
Had some decent stats, though. Versatile which is great for our system. Also got some guys coming into last year of contract so we need to develop a guy for future.
We definitely needed another body at RB. He needs to continue to improve his all around game like he did last year. He lost carries early in his career due to not being trusted in pass protection, and last year Kelly praised him several times for blitz pick up.
As sad as it is CB could still be classified as a need this year. Even after all those picks how many do you trust after Alexander? King wasn't even healthy for minicamp after months on the couch. Jackson has never seen an opposing jersey he didn't want to grab.
Everything I read says he is one of the best bargain picks of the draft. He won’t start this year with all the guys we have on line, but could be a valuable rotational piece and should get his opportunity by year 2 if he shows he is up to it.
Not to mention, anybody that is next to Kenny Clark should get plenty of chances. Clark eats up double teams like he is getting free lunch.
