I think that’s only true of the power stone. And the Maw says something about the strength it takes to “wield” the stones...but they’re really only carrying them.
Saw it this evening with the family. Liked it a lot. Took my oldest to Iron Man when it came out in 2008; he turns 20 in a month, sat next to me this evening. He doesn't remember being freaked out by Tony's chest wound, but I remember that being a bit traumatic for a 9yo kid
As someone whose two favorite movie genres are heist movies and marvel movies, it truly felt like this was made for me. Couldn’t have loved it more
Good interview about what ideas the writers thought about adding onto the movie and what they always knew they wanted to happen https://www.comicbookmovie.com/aven...r-deaths-the-ending-and-more-spoilers-a168052
RDjr’s twitter description reminded me of something... When Thanos recognizes Tony in IW and says he isn’t the only one cursed with knowledge- was that ever explained? I thought it might have to do with past Thanos meeting future tony in EG, but that obviously isn’t the case. How did Thanos know Tony in IW?
i figured it was a throwback to Thanos being genius-level as described in the comics, but idk edit: or bc he knows who he is bc of his defense of NY in Avengers 1
I always thought it was because of this and because Tony ultimately got another stone away from him that he already had when Loki lost the scepter to them.
He knows the Avengers when viewing them for the first time(as far as we know) from bad Nebula's tapped memory bank on his ship. I imagine he just has knowledge of those that might be a threat to him.
Yeah, I guess tony was the only one fighting him on titan that was also fighting in NYC in A1. The way Thanos said it though seemed like there was more to it to me. When it became evident that there was time travel in EG, I thought that’s tie in but then from-the-past Thanos Spoiler got dusted
Could be the idea of how Tony feels the need to right his wrongs. He’s cursed with knowledge to make a difference and can’t stop. Idk my bff Jill
He knew there were two stones on earth. I'm sure he would know their history on earth and who he would need to worry about.
He sent the army to earth in 2012 and Tony nuked them in space. He knew about the Avengers and Tony as their leader (from his perspective)
Looking back over the course of the MCU, Sam is the best friend ever. He doesn't know Cap at all in Winter Soldier, but gives him a place to lay low, kidnaps a guy for him, fights an army of Hydra agents for something he knows nothing about, and then waits for him to wake up in the hospital before joining him on his quest to save Cap's best friend. He then joins the Avengers after AoU. In CW, he stands by Cap at the funeral of his 75-year crush, doesn't sign the Accords, fights the other Avengers with him, and then goes to jail willingly so Cap can save the world again. He's on the run for a year or two with Cap after that. He helps him in Wakanda before getting dusted. As soon as he wakes up, Cap's about to die and he delivers the line of the MCU that brings an army behind him. He earned that shield.
How that piece of actual shit of a movie Avatar remains #1 is beyond me. Going to see EG again this weekend to contribute in dethroning it.
It did insane foreign box office Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $760,507,625 27.3% + Foreign: $2,027,457,462 72.7% = Worldwide: $2,787,965,087
After a few days, I still can’t get over Jeremy renners acting. He’s just such a good actor. Hes The man behind a lot of the bigger stars that really did do an absolutely breathtaking performance. #hurtlocker
If this movie gets leggy and somehow crosses the $3B mark at the box office the MCU will be at $22B for 22 movies Holy shit
I wonder what RDJ’s pay is going to look like after is all said and done. He gets like 5% of the total Boxoffice receipts right? Gotta be close to $300m combined for IW and Endgame
