Applied for the Citi AA Business card and was rejected for whatever reason. So I applied for that new Barclays card and got approved. Then Saturday I receive the Citi Business card in the mail and yesterday got the Barclays card. Now I have to spend $9k in the next 4 months...fuck me.
Plastiq is usually inadvisable bc the cost outweigh the rewards, right?? I guess more on day to day transactions vs quick spending to get the bonus
If you can't hit 9K in 4 months, Plastiq's not bad for insurance .. the spending bonus easily outweighs the cost (2.5% non offer)..
Any suggestions on CCs to use for groceries? That's the one big spend category I have in our budget that we're just getting 1% back on.
blue cash preferred is 6% at grocery stores they're also offering $250 credit after you spend $1000 in 3 months Apply for an American Express Card with this link. We can both get rewarded if you're approved! http://refer.amex.us/JOSEPQx3s8?xl=cp20
So my dog finally got an AA card offer. It’s for 65k miles but I already have this particular card it’s advertising. How should I navigate this?
You can apply for it using the code - no limit to how many AA personal cards you can have open if using mailers because they don’t have the 24 month language in them
The trick with Citi is that you’re able to get the same card over and over because on the offer there shouldn’t be any language about being ineligible for the bonus if you’ve gotten it within two years
You might be able to downgrade it to a Double Cash but I’m not positive on the move there, I’ll defer to someone smarter
Mileup is trash. Dividend is Citi's version of the freedom. 5x categories I'd pick doublecash or dividend. Also make sure you wait a year before downgrading to either
If I were getting a grocery card I think I'd go Amex Gold. Does the airline credit work on Southwest gift cards? If it does it's, at worst, value neutral.
I can confirm. I just did my delta gift card purchase about 5 days ago as 2 $50 purchases and got both back. May be going away soon, but still active for now.
I’m still waiting on a Hilton bonus that I met the minimum spend on almost 3 months ago. They’re taking every bit of that 8-12 weeks.
how quickly is too quick to apply for my second CIP? parents might have some additional expenses that i could use to satisfy the minimum spend requirement
what do you make different about the different applications? my "business name" is my full name with middle initial right now and i used my SSN. when i get my second CIP, what changes should i make with the application?
none. same application again (as far as I know). Im not some hardcore churner so I dont keep up with the day to day stuff but I have gotten CIP3 for myself and my wife within the last two months with the same exact information.
I contacted Amex and they're trying to tell me my bonus offer was 150k Hilton points for $3k spend in the first 3 months. The one I signed up for was 125k for $2k spend, the same as it is now. They've opened up a case that will take another 6-8 weeks to resolve. Motherfuckers.
For me at least: CIP #1: First Name Last Name / SSN CIP #2: First Name Last Name/ EIN CIP #3: First Name Middle Name Last Name/ SSN Applied 3/4 months apart, approved within 24 hrs each time.
Switched to a different cash back card. Cutting my sapphire preferred card left me bloodied and with carpal tunnel
