$75 mil for IW and at least that for EG maybe up to $100M Saw $15-$20mil each for Evans and Hemsworth for both
Damn. I wish I was like a really well-paid actor but was completely un-famous or unrecognizable. Like if voice actors were paid huge amounts. That would be so cool.
I bet if they didn’t have to pay RDJ’s salary, they would’ve had enough budget to do the cgi of Ant-Man going up Thanos’ ass
RDJ and his agent made a bet on himself and the MCU, iirc his base salary for IM1 was really really low but added in the % clause and it obviously paid off a hundred fold.
He was essentially out of work but Favreau went to bat for him because he knew he was perfect for the role
i realize i'm not as much of a fan as many other posters itt, but i have had pretty much zero interest in watching the other marvel movies since seeing endgame. anyone else the same? they're always on tv and i used to either enjoy or not mind a fair number of them but i have no desire these days to watch them now that i've seen the story conclude.
They said they'd come back for Secret Wars but by then so many new characters will have been established and others moved on, it might be the last one, yeah.
So I saw zero previews before my movie. My BIL was supposed to pick me up for the 7pm show Sunday. By 6:50, I find out he is still sleeping, so I tell him to meet me there. Parking lot was more full than I have ever seen it, and every snack register was open for the 1st time I recall. There was trash overflowing from every trash can in and out. All because of End Game. Get in line to buy some water. Didnt get my water until 7:20. Folks who work at movie theaters have zero sense of urgency. Human slugs. In the end game, the struggles were all worth it.
Finally got to see it last night: 1. Fat Thor was amazing 2. Korg and Miek playing Fortnite scene killed me 3. Great send off for IM. RDJ was excellent. 4. That was my favorite Cap of any of the movies he’s been in. Him fighting with the shield and Mjolnir? Outstanding. 5. Nothing in the MCU has ever made me tear up until this one. Probably because I’m a dad, but the scene with Scott and Cassie reuniting and all the scenes with Tony and Morgan got me good. 6. Needed more of angry Hulk. 7. Really good movie and I need time to think it over, but right now I’d still solidly have Ragnarok, GOTG and IW all ahead of this one.
Standing at the back across from Ross (before it goes up the stairs/porch to Captain Marvel and Fury)
Wife has expressed interest in watching all of the MCU movies since this has gotten so much hype. Is this the generally accepted order? 1) Captain America: The First Avenger 2) Iron Man 3) The Incredible Hulk (barf) 4) Iron Man 2 5) Thor 6) The Avengers 7) Iron Man 3 8) Thor: The Dark World 9) Captain America: The Winter Soldier 10) Guardians of the Galaxy 11) Guardians of the Galaxy 2 12) Avengers: Age of Ultron 13) Ant-Man 14) Captain America: Civil War 15) Black Panther 16) Spider-Man: Homecoming 17) Doctor Strange 18) Ant-Man and The Wasp 19) Captain Marvel 20) Thor: Raganarok 21) Avengers: Infinity War 22) Avengers: Endgame
He was also a key figure in forcing Disney to give everyone a raise. You know they ultimately want his ass gone
I’d just not watch Hulk or IM3; then move Ant-Man and Wasp between IW & EG. Can’t go wrong starting with Cap1 or IM1. Lots of filler movies in there.
Dear 2008 me, Iron Man was great, yeah? In a decade or so Spider-Man is going to be riding a Pegasus with Valkyrie, with a fully-armed Infinity Gauntlet in tow. See you later.
I’d imagine voice actors make pretty good money. All Mark Hamill did for years was play the joker and it seems like he’s doing pretty good for himself.
From civil war: Clint: “I don’t believe we’ve met before. My name’s Clint.” BP: “I don’t care” Then in Endgame, BP shouts “Clint!” to get his attention to take the gauntlet off his hands
That was decades ago and I’d be willing to be he’s made far more lifetime playing the joker than he did for the first trilogy
fsuNizz can surely speak better to this but from what I’ve seen and read, actors love voice work as it’s very good pay to either work in plain clothes in a booth or if you’re prominent enough work in your pajamas from home studio
Star Wars is syndicated on multiple channels and it’s not cheap. Probably gets a 6 figure monthly check
