For him to lose, it is going to require him missing two different daily doubles/ final jeopardy and the winning player is also going to have to score a ton. Dude is just insane
How many of his 18 wins haven’t been runaways? And props to that dude who tried to chase him down. He had some game and some guts.
Gotta think people will now adopt this way of playing. Most people only win a couple times in a row. Why not try and get the biggest payout possible? I wonder what Jeopardy will do to account for how much money this new wagering will cost them long term.
I’ve missed this wave of Jeopardy lately but I have all recorded. Where should I start going back to watch?
I think 2 times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Holzhauer Videos of past shows https://www.dailymotion.com/President_Eisenhower/videos
That one Indian dude was a really good player in like his 3rd or 4th game. Sucks for the few people that prob would have won multiple games vs almost anyone else.
It would be cool to have a redemption tournament for some of the better performing victims of Ken, James, and other long streak winners
His signaling is hitting at 55%+. That's elite and among the best ever on the show. His knowledge is clearly elite. And his strategy. It's brilliant. Build a bank roll so he's ready for the daily double. Jump from category to category to keep the competition from getting comfortable.
The first category he picked last two nights was the daily double. I wonder if jeopardy is putting them in the $1k clues on purpose now. I think that happens in like 3 of last 5 episodes.
"The Jeopardy! Fan @_thejeopardyfan 2h2 hours ago He needn’t worry. Jeopardy brings in upwards of $100M a year in revenue. James winning an extra 55k a night for a few weeks isn’t going to break the bank, especially considering the increased ad revenue that results from the publicity & increased ratings."
Here we go!!!! And the crazy in that girls eyes is STRONG! She has even been able to signal in yet lol
This is so entertaining. There dominance and the show most really fast. Im just trying to see how much he wins by. It's like the most recent Clemson national championship
Already congratulating him before he revealed hos answer lol. First I've watched live of this guy. I mean the only way he loses is if the messes up a double Jeopardy. His buzzer skills are just insane
When he hits stride, it's something to behold. Just hit the afterburners in Double and ran away with it yet again. Imar was pretty formidable but just got dusted like the rest in the end
I assume you mean "daily double" but I disagree. He has left holes for players, they just haven't taken them. Today nobody got "aardvark" right before he got a daily double. That could've changed the entire game by preventing a huge swing. Obviously it wouldn't matter tonight but in some games, all you need is to get lucky on picking a daily double before he can and then being aggressive
70% first buzzer yesterday (57.66% average). 44 right and 0 wrong. Today's stats not out yet. https://thejeopardyfan.com/statistics/james-holzhauer-jeopardy-statistics
he says he reads childrens books so he has a very shallow understanding of everything in the world essentially. great strategy for a show like this
Except I think it was the category of Ballet that came up one time and he admitted afterward that he didn't know much at all about that subject lol

Yes and no on the last part. Definitely had game but if you're gonna go for a big risk on the daily double, you gotta go all in and not leave the extra 1k on the table. Wouldn't have mattered in this case, but he gave up a decent amount of EV by doing so. Basically he knew he had to go for it but didn't have the guts to do the whole thing.
Next 2 weeks will be a teachers tournament. TEACHERS TAKE OVER! Fifteen teachers. One $100,000 prize. See them take to the Jeopardy! stage May 6-17.
