Correct. Simpsons cast get paid BANK!! obviously over the years they would. You could go in, if you're a pro at it, and handle your session in a hour. But I imagine it could take more than that for a show or film. But yea you can just show up in pajamas
From what I read that number was just his base pay from New Hope and didn’t include any percentage points on revenues
gf hasn’t seen endgame yet and she just excitedly sent me this and i am cracking up at how mad she’s about to be
Went and saw Endgame again last night. So does anyone feel like they teased Namor The Submariner for Black Panther 2? When Okoye mentions that there’s been earthquake at the bottom of the sea near the African plates?
Holy shit guys. 25 pages since I stopped reading. All the arguments and counter arguments have been made so I won't rehash them but this: is blasphemy. This is bad and you should feel bad dump.
I want to say there was a map with a location marked in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa in a SHIELD or Avengers facility in one of the Phase 1 movies or maybe even in Age of Ultron when they also tease Wakanda. I can't remember exactly which one.
I remember my overall attitude being “sure, they’ll MAKE an [insert hero name here] movie, but it won’t be any good.“ And here we are.
Also, I’d like to point out during my rewatch of Endgame, that the Russo’s specifically made sure to point out that the events of the 1st avengers movie took place in 2012 and Thor:TDW took place in 2013 Smh at SM:HC 8 year gaff
Homecoming begins in the immediate aftermath of the 2012 Battle of New York. It then jumps forward "eight" years to the "present" day, meaning Homecoming should be set in 2020 when it obviously is set in the aftermath of Civil War, circa 2016-2017. It's a complete mistake, a total brain fart error on the part of the director and writers and everyone involved. It's also not a big deal if you just ignore it.
Saw this brought up online somewhere Did we just completely miss the introduction of mutants in the MCU in End Game? When Nat was talking with Rocket, CM etc in HQ and discussed earthquakes in the ocean, they were fucking talking about Namor no? Feige is going to fucking introduce the mutants in the MCU with fucking Namor, not the 5000th reiteration of Proffessor X and Magneto? The balls of that man.
Anyone with good comic book knowledge have any ideas on the next 10 year plan with integrating X-men or other characters?
Correct me if I’m wrong here, but Namor was the very first mutant introduced by Marvel. He’s not the oldest, but the first in publication. I don’t think it would be accidental that he may also serve as the MCU’s introduction to mutants.
I hope when they do introduce mutants they do solo movies for some of the big characters and then an X-Men franchise series similar to what they did with the Infinity Saga that could then cross over and interact with Avengers for really big events rather than being integrated as "Avengers" piecemeal.
I've said this before on here but I really am curious to see what they do to introduce the X-Men. I'm sure Feige will come up with something clever like always, but it'll be very interesting to see. Magneto is supposed to be a WW2 Holocaust survivor. That's not just feasible in the 2020's, unless they want him to be close to 90 years old. They're going to have to retcon the entire backstory, not only of Magneto but of the whole idea of mutants. It's going to be very interesting. As for the Fantastic Four, that'll be easy to do. I'm more excited about seeing them finally done right than just about anything else in the post-Infinity Saga movies.
I don't have much to add but I think they could keep the general story of Magneto being a POW survivor and put it with just about any recent armed conflict. He and his family were taken in Afghanistan and tested on before being saved by US/UK/etc...troops. Boom. Problem solved and general background story intact. With that said, at this point I trust Feige enough to do what he wants and it to be great.
According to theories I've read online, a meteor will crash down somewhere in the Southwest US and cement itself in a cave. Things begin to materialize and evolution takes place at a rapid rate. Going from insects, to apes, and then will transform into mutants. Probably your best best
I like the idea of Mutants stemming from the result of the first snap. Rabbit says Earth became ground zero for the largest energy signature in history...maybe that's what activates mutant genes? The problem then is for older mutants, they're backstories are completely screwed or we start moving forward into the future pretty dramatically as mutants start appearing.
We're probably 5 years out from any type of mutant movie hitting the theaters so you could conceivably play the timeline as being 10 years out from the snap and have a lot of time to explore what happened in those 10 years
I’m fine with getting away from known origin stories. We’ve seen a lot of them already, some multiple times. A fresh look at classic mutants sounds pretty cool. Wolverine fans may have the biggest problem with something like this.
Feel like he may be the longest one off, this being one of the reasons. I'm not sure what the timeline is but we're nowhere near the point of seeing anyone but Jackman play Logan, unless you go waaaayyyy younger.
I don't hate this...but it's got a couple of issues. 1. Do you retcon a beloved movie with her backstory? I know it's not Disney's movie but you can't deny its success and fan reception. 2. That's a choice you have to be all-in on...because you're basically saying, "okay, this is the Wolverine we're rolling with. We're just not going to do Logan." and, even as much as Logan's been done, that's a tough commit.
What was the first X Men team? Not counting Xavier 1. Beast 2. Phoenix 3. Cyclops 4. Angel 5. Ice Man Just do them first Then do another movie with a Claremont inspired team 1. Nightcrawler 2. Wolverine 3. Storm 4. Gambit 5. Rogue Then do a third one with the newer members 1. Cypher 2. Warlock 3. Legion 4. Blink 5. Firestar Then do an Avengers style team-up movie
They've introduced alternate realities with Endgame. It would be one hell of a ballsy move, but they could introduce a reality where a change somewhere in the timeline resulted in mutants. Basically, they move the main MCU timeline to a separate reality. I don't think they'll do it, but it would be a way to keep the backstory of characters like Wolverine intact while still combining them with the MCU.
There is going to be an alternate reality where Captain gets out of the ice and becomes a drunk after he realizes so much time has passed and in his drunken stupor he and America's Ass impregnate hundreds of women and create the mutant race The X-Men timeline
