Grey worm, Arya and the hound sneak into the city and kill all the men manning the crossbows right before the attack would be a good way to go about doing that.
She took all the unsullied that she had left from the battle to Dragon Stone. They said she lost half of the unsullied to the dead. Looks like Euron got 3/4’s of what was left in the ship attack’s. Jon is bringing re-enforcements to KL but not everyone. The Wildlings are staying “south” and headed north. I think the Dorthraki are also headed in a different direction but bringing possibly more help
I think they chose to write that scene poorly to make it seem like Jamie is going down to fight for Cersei but in reality he is going down there to reason with her and be the one who kills her. It was written in a way that’s lets them do either later on. A lot of this season has been about creating intrigue and talking points for podcasts/blogs/fan discussion week to week more than creating the best plot.
It's comforting that even amongst the fallout of an ice zombie apocalypse and mass body burning that I can still get my grande hazelnut latte.
I liked the episode overall but hitting the dragon 3 times from a moving ship while behind a mountain was pretty fucking bad
Tall mocha latte with almond milk & whipped cream please ok can I get a name Yes it’s for Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains
I fucking hate Sansa and even Arya at this point. Dany just saved humanity and gave up half her army and a dragon to do it. She’s had one goal her whole life and jeopardized it all to save your asses. Now they want to betray her? Yeah fuck them. I’d be fucking crazy too if I had to deal with that shit. She should definitely be willing to marry Jon though. That’s what I don’t get. They won’t put that in the show. She can easily control him (honorable fool). The whole “she won’t share the throne” conversation was bullshit. She wouldn’t have to but in appearance only. Multiple times in the show she’s talked about marriage for political purposes. Now she has a chance to win the North over and erase all the tension of them not welcoming an outsider, and she doesn’t consider it? Idiotic.
Also, what was the point of Dany’s ensuing charge? Either GTFO of there or light those ships up, why fly right at them but do nothing? Showing off that she could dodge some Spears I guess? Too bad Rhaegar couldn’t.
She was overcome by anger and wanted revenge. She came to her senses at the last moment and pulled out before getting drogon skewered.
Also has it been mentioned when you have the only air force in 7 kingdoms a bunch of ships shouldn't be able to sneak up on you like that?
Just making sure. This thread has so many posts I don't go back & read (so yes I realize it was stupid I asked such an obvious question)
Kind of hard to pull off the evasive maneuvering needed to escape spears that have been launched at them by every enemy they've encountered with a holes in your wing. Pretty dumb that the mother of dragons doesn't feel should be allowed to heal or at least patched up since she knows they have the giant spear machines already.
Thank you, like Sansa and Arya were like “thanks for saving our asses but kindly fuck off now. Oh and we still want the north to remain independent!”
Dany said it herself. She wants the people to think that she did everything to avoid war and all the death that follows is because of Cersi.
Made no sense? It completely fit his character of a sell sword with no loyalty except to the highest bidder.
So we're just accepting everyone teleports to where they need to be now huh. And he can wander around a hostile castle with a loaded crossbow? And the Hand of the Queen routinely hangs out in abandoned bars without any form of protection whatsoever? The scene made sense as far as Bronn's characterization went, but in every other aspect it was just more bad, lazy writing.
Sansa has always been a stupid cunt. She thinks ruling is manipulating others as she learned from two of the best manipulators, Baelish and Cersei. Not too mention, as the Hound pointed out, everything that happened to her was because she was a stupid cunt and didn’t go with him in season 2. She trusts the wrong people, always has, always will. AeJon should never trust her again after betraying his confidence like that.
Wtf are you talking about? You think Ned taught Sansa and Arya to not keep their promises and play politics?
who knows how the show will play it, but even as hand there's no way Tyrion has the power to promise the most valuable seat in the kingdom outside of the throne to someone Dany has never even met and does nothing for her other than keep Tyrion alive. Bronn should know that.
Yeah, the untrusting North. And Sansa has been trained by Baelish. Arya just seems to be ruthlessly pragmatic. That all makes sense given their stories so far. But the whole “plan” is idiotic when given its logical conclusion.
Sansa asked Dany to give the armies of the north time to heal and regroup so they can fight an army that isn’t going anywhere. Arya took exception to Jon being the only person in the room that wasn’t trying to reason with Dany. Seems like both were reasonable imo. Everyone at this point knows Dany is losing it
Was it reasonable to betray AeJon’s confidence because she thinks she knows what is right and by doing so she can force her will on AeJon? Seems like a Baelish or Cersei move to me. I love how she said that she’d ask “the generals” how long of a rest was needed, but then when AeJon says they should go now she thinks he’s wrong. AeJon IS THE GENERAL. She thinks she doesn’t trust Dany but in reality she doesn’t trust AeJon. She expects loyalty from those in the North but shows none herself to AeJon.
"Sansa you were sworn to secrecy but then you told the biggest big mouths in Westeros" "You made us swear because we were family but technically we arent so that swear didnt count"
She betrayed Jon’s confidence because she should have. Dany is fucked up and from a family known to be fucked up. She did what was right. Jon said they should go to show loyalty to Dany, not because it was the right thing to do. She’s loyal to the North, she’s loyal to Jon, Jon was loyal to neither when he sided with Dany and if he didn’t want to be king he should’ve done exactly as Ned did and as Dany asked and kept his secrets
Again, this presupposes that AeJon is wrong to have sided with Dany and that Sansa is the only one who is right, also against Tyrion’s trust and loyalty in Dany. AeJon saved the North by siding with Dany. He was loyal to his word after, which is why it was the right thing to do. His stupid cousin Robb could have learned a thing or two about that. Oh and how is it possible to betray someone’s confidence yet still be loyal to them?
Dude, everyone in that war room was going against Dany on everything. It was legit the scene that was meant to solidify her as a crazy person.
