First time squatting with my inzer in 2 years. Forgot that it takes time to get my midsection adjusted to this thing - all I could think about during my sets was how painful it was jutting into my abs Ended up using less weight than I’d been doing beltless. Hoping that after a couple more sessions getting used to it again that’ll change, I think when I first got it I added a solid 25lbs to my 3rm in a few weeks
It’s brutal. Between the bar mark on my back, wraps on my wrists, and the belt it looks like I got my ass whipped
hensleya i just won the Squat University’s/SquatMax belt squat machine giveaway!! Time to blow these quads up
You’re fucking kidding me!!! Dude I’m so happy for you. What a great way to start your weekend. You’re going to LOVE it!
Finally got a 175 OHP, been failing for a while. Think my problem is I'm trying to go up 5 pounds every month and probably too much for OHP, gonna try and do 2.5 pounds a month and be at 190 or so by the end of the year. Trying 5 plate hex bar on Sunday
I'm totally a fucking weirdo that refuses to weigh myself as it fucks with my head and takes me off the things I care more about. Have 31" pants and imagine I'm about 5’11 195-200 right now
I actually stopped doing OHP. It was going up so slowly and messing with my bench progress, so I dropped it and added more bench variations. Bench has exploded up since dropping it. I think my OHP increased by MAYBE 10 pounds over 6 months. I may put it back in again for 2-3 months after summer just to see if bench progress has aided it.
OHP is one of the fastest to stop progressing from what I’ve read/experienced. I flew from 135 to 175 then it’s just been a complete crawl. I switched to a BB block for the first half of the year and just been doing seated military press instead and I have momentum again
I’ve had the exact same experience, reset my OHP progressions many times and always get stuck at 175-180 Still seeking that sweet 185
Used to put it around waist on deadlift, been doing much better since moved it down to around my hips
I almost shit myself working out for the first time. I felt this rush of being scared, but then crisis was averted. #coolstorybro
At 5’8”, I doubt I get much heavier. Don’t want to overload my dainty frame. To be fair I’m actually at 165 lbs. currently, but I fluctuate between 160 and 165.
I’m fucking with you. Everyone needs to stay where they’re most comfortable between aesthetics and performance.
I’ve kind of stopped caring what my weight is. I just lift three times a week, do cardio three times a week, and whatever else happens with diet and weight...I’ll live with it. Definitely lost a lot of fat, but with the cardio I’m doing my gains have been slower.
Been close to pulling the trigger a few times. I eat pretty well but imagine the timing of my meals is not ideal, something I want to learn more about/get better at.
https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGx...g_story_highlights_share&igshid=1fhkf76qtu5ul That story tells you how to do it apparently. Makes it $69 (nice) for 6-months.
I use the RP app. I just go off their macros each day and don’t get too intense with the carb timing.
Gunners did your Sanddune arrive? Sorry for the delay on detailed uses. Here’s a video I posted this morning showing my favorite upper body/bench prep
Had it a few weeks, used it mostly to warm up my legs and part of a cardio circuit so far. It's great. Some goblet squats on it too, really allows me to focus on driving through my heels and balance work.
hensleya / anyone, do you have a recommendation on a decent adjustable bench; nothing too expensive but just good quality. Don't even have a barbell at my house so don't need bench press stuff but still plenty of uses for 1. Have some amazon piece of shit for a few years now that's falling apart and don't feel great doing DB presses on it.
Rep Fitness AB-3100 or the Rep AB-3000 if you can spare a few more dollars (currently out of stock). Rep has a stellar reputation with benches. I only use them for mine.
\ Was gonna add in I wanted a ton of different levels for presses so yes, that looks great. Will look into it more.
So I still use an old adjustable bow flex bench for everything. Damn thing is probably pushing 15 years old. It’s still honestly in decent shape, but I feel like I have the worst of both worlds. It’s not a single piece bench and it tapers more than I would like at the head (hey now...). And when I incline, the ass doesn’t adjust so I feel like the weights are pushing me to slide off the bench. So it kind of sucks at both flat bench and incline. So I’m trying to decide if I just want to get a plain flat bench since I don’t incline very often. But if some of these inclines are a solid flat bench as well, I may kick in a few more bucks (but not $500 for that no gap model). Any thoughts?
gym update: NOT CLOSING. AT THIS TIME programming didn't get put up for a week and i signed up for juggernaut. the day after i signed up he started putting up the programming again. hopefully i'll learn a bit these few months before i return to the free programming i like so much because it's free.
Just makes it easier for me to set my Macros each day based off activity. Takes my guess work out of it. Like today Is a big squat/bench day so I’m getting more carbs then tomorrow rest day. So today is 410g of carbs vs 190g tomorrow
Does it help meal plan, as well? Include any of the blonde girl's recipes? I'm going to do a practice cut probably in June, so I may hold off and give it the month before we head to the beach. Unless I can get that code that NoNatty posted to work... It would be amazing if it integrated with Juggernaut's AI platform.
