Yeah let us just be patient and wait for the good stuff to come...is that going to come in DLC or RDR3?
I could die literally this afternoon, so i'll be damned if i spend all morning watching a horse follow a path while my controller sits on the desk
I’m not an avid gamer and mostly have played sports games in the past but I enjoyed RDR2. I didn’t mind the constant travel because it allowed me to explore different parts of the map and I used it as an opportunity to hunt or work on side missions/challenges while I made my way somewhere. I didn’t love the portion of the game spent in Saint Denis but other than that I enjoyed it. I can see where it isn’t for everyone but just because it isn’t constant action 100% of the game doesn’t make it complete shit. You just enjoy a different type of game
You only enjoy that type of game bc you arent an avid gamer thus havent played actual good games of this same genre. Hzd, spiderman, days gone...all phenomenal open world experiences. This, this is just a generic game made by a dev company that can do no wrong therefore its flawless despite the flaw demon chasing you around slapping you in the face with his dick the whole time.
There's like 6 people itt complaining about fast travel 6 months after the game came out. When the game released, there were constantly 30+ people updating how much they enjoyed it. We get it, the game wasn't for you. Fuck off to a thread for a game that was.
I'm an avid gamer and loved RDR2. I can see why it's not for everyone and I definitely didn't think it was a perfect game but still enjoyed it a lot.
Theres fast travel in the game, but that doesnt solve any problems except not having to stare at a horses ass while a write the first 4 chapters of a young adult novel in which a cowboy travels into the future, gets a helicopter, and takes it back in time only to find out his no good brother stole his woman.
I really enjoyed the hunting and I actually enjoyed just riding around and exploring. I'm pretty sure I've combed every inch of that map at this point. Their gunplay definitely needs updating though as well as their mission structure. It is far too rigid.
Most of my sessions ended with prolonged fishing trips. Far more enjoyable than actually playing the game for me. Hunting was cool too but it’ would’ve been more fun if the economy weren’t broken
Finally done with the story Once the epilogue started I couldn’t put it down until I finished. So damn cool how they did it
Nah the money comes fast in the story mode and I really never felt like selling pelts and whatnot mattered. Find a couple gold bars and you’re set for life but even if you don’t the story is gonna keep your pockets lined. Kinda makes selling pelts and robbing stagecoaches a little worthless. I played over 100 hours of the story
Yeah, that makes sense. And since the clothing options are far more limited in story mode there isn't a ton to spend it on.
Selling them didn't matter nearly as much as getting perfect ones to use for crafting stuff at camp or for outfits. Even then there's plenty to spend money on.
Just finished the main story. Wish I coulda shot Dutch in the fucking head several chapters ago and taken over the gang. Having more fun in the epilogue than the main story and overall i enjoyed the first rdr better i thought the constant theme of needing more money to leave when your character can obtain it pretty easily made the plot pretty pointless.
I get that. But the story becomes such that Arthur just wants to get the money Dutch is hiding so he can leave. Well, I already have enough to do it without finding the hidden money so what’s the point
It stopped being about the money for Arthur when he got AIDS. At that point he wasn’t trying to leave, he was trying to help everyone else in the gang leave, which they weren’t gonna do because of blind loyalty to Dutch. And Dutch just used money and time as excuses to Arthur to hide his actual motivation which was revenge and leaving a “legacy”... which Arthur picked up on as time went on that led to their fighting. Saw they added some new shit to RDO last week - is it worth a shit enough to get the band back together or nah? At this point I wouldn’t mind getting back online with my crew if there’s a handful of new actual missions to play online. Anything besides the side mission bullshit where you’re riding horse or carriage for 9 of the 10 minutes it lasts
I finished this game this weekend so I could free up my HD and not feel like I was missing something. The game frustrated the hell out of me but I liked the epilogue
new story missions were fun. albeit not difficult with decent guns. our Tomahonkey clan mostly uses bow, hatchet/dagger, and scalpin knife. if shit goes sideways or run out of arrows, we'll use pistol and/or bolt action if there's too many to take down the injun way. makes the game quite challenging but in a fun way if you're in a group of 3-4.
Other than the suffragette videos, what other absurd/ridiculous/funny RDR2 videos you got? Haven't picked up this game in a while, and my buddy has just discovered it's existence via YouTube and asked me for some funny videos.
I did too much of this, and it drug the game on a bit too long causing me to lose interest before beating it. RDR2 was fun, but at best my 5th favorite non-PVP game since Skyrim/2010. State of Decay 2 being the best, followed by Monster Hunter World, Destiny 2, and The Division 1.
There's way too much overlap between PS4 and XB1 for me to get both. Next time I buy a gaming system it'll be a gaming PC and/or the next gen Xbox.
I ain’t gonna lie, going back to this story (a trillion times better that rdr2) I found myself sooo annoyed by the voice actor for marston (Morgan a trillion times better). I really hope they re dub his scenes
