And he didn’t even invite us out for a beer ouch Nah Tobias and I are fine we’re really busy this week no worries
tons of plans with tons of friends it’s totally ok my schedule is jam-packed with fun and excitement. simply no time to talk about ace starting opening day this week with smoltzy posters
I'll be in Asheville just for the day tomorrow. Any favorite lunch recommendations? Open to any budget or type of food.
Yeah but I will have a car and open to traveling around. I'm there for an event at UNC-Asheville but that's not until later in the evening and I get in early on Friday.
that reminds me...unc asheville has a senior day special for baseball. $10 gets you a ticket and 2 free alcoholic drinks that is a great deal, folks
co-sign rankin vault burger one of the better burgers i've had in recent memory juicy lucy's is good too but a little bit aways from dt
Hi. Went to Asheville in December. Nice place. Plan on visiting more once I move to Charlotte. Just here to follow the thread.
not regularly. its classified as a "hospitality" tent for senior day been to a few bball games and always have to sneak in mini bottles
Still pretty cool. Do you hit up Tourists games as well? Seems like some good baseball options in town
been slack the last two springs but went last month and going this weekend. gf always wants to go for the game they do jersey giveaways. $8 tickets and $5 beers plus a free jersey is a good time. got something like this one before the final four games.
they have a bojangles premium seating area too. $33 gets you behind home plate, unlimited soda, bojangles chicken sandwiches, burgers and ballpark snacks i need to go pig out there because that's a good deal
Yes they have two locations. They’re good but expensive for tacos and there are plenty of options around town
my weekend is shaping up nicely bojangles buffet and minor league baseball on saturday and college baseball and boozing on sunday
I wasn't complaining. I appreciate the recommendations from you all. I trust TMBers more than Yelp so this was helpful. Thank you. Spoiler now let Bruce come home.
Have yet to get there. It's on the way to Maggie Valley but big fan of Willie Brooks' BBQ if you are heading west towards Cherokee
Davison River is 45 minutes west in Silva. Pisgah National Forest is to the north of Davison River Outfitters and their private water is to the south. We fished their private water on my bachelor party and caught some very nice rainbows. Stocking season is over in WNC but you could fish blue line streams up in the mountains. There are some great areas around Nantahala and Cherokee on tribal lands. Higher elevations should still fish well in the summer. Hunter Banks is the local fly shop in Asheville along with Orvis that can point you in the right direction.
idk man it kinda sucks. i can’t really justify $100 to just go for a day. wish you could provide a utility bill or something and get a big discount as a resident. haven’t been since i was a kid and 2 years up here and still no return trip
we're going to be out there in late November for a day or two and wanted to go back as we haven't been in like a decade at this point, just wander into the shop and the grounds, but we can not justify $150+ just for two hours wandering around. its absurd.
Fortunate that mom buys me annual pass so when she comes up she can go out there with my son. Lived here 10 years and had friends work for the company and never would go out there.
