Thanks. I've seen the ones that run like 150 or 200 but that's a bit much right now. He'd probably rather have me hang a chew toy from a tree than that $15 ball launcher.
Both heelers found a home last weekend, but this guy was just posted this morning and I placed my name for fostering him Male neutered, 8 year old, Australian Shepherd (pedigreed, show dog stock), 50lbs Logan rides, grooms, boards & doctors well. Is very adaptable. Good w/ adults and school-age kids and easy going dogs. No cat experience. High energy and requires companionship and daily exercise. Good on leash except when encountering aggressive male dogs Trusted in house but over herds on stairways. Logan has lived his life w/ 2 adults in suburban home w/ large fenced yard. Loves toys, food, people and is clever and engaging. Only Health Concern is seasonal allergies and sensitivity to anesthesia
I live with this every day. I have two. It's manageable, but they stand at the top of the stairs waiting to escort me down. Sometimes they block passage. My smaller one is an insane herder. Every time I yell at the other for barking at deliverymen and people outside she grabs him by the neck and pulls him into my office.
Today is my puppy's first birthday This is from the day I picked her out Will have to take an updated pic when I give her her birthday bone in a while. Realized I haven't taken a good pic of her in a while
Any of you boys have puppy experience? particularly being home a lot with them? I work from home, but I have to you know work. Luckily he's willing to nap a lot so I put him in his crate in 2 hours chunks 3 times a day, but the other idk 3-4 hours it's so hard to keep him occupied. I feed him, I have Kongs I fill with food and shit for him to try and get out, but he just gets bored of everything in minutes. I have to remain productive at work and can't just flat out play with him. Any ideas for things to make him entertain himself? Outside of this he's great, sleeps all night in his crate with bathroom breaks that most of the time he's not even ready for, and he pees on this grass patch we bought for indoors cause the outside world is a scary parvo invested wasteland apparently according to our vet.
This male great Dane huffed and puffed at Blue at Petco this morning and you would have thought the devil came out of Blue. I've legit never heard him sound like that. And then after the great Dane walked off Blue kept straining against his leasn looking for it. Like Blue that dog is 5 times bigger than you.
I kinda wonder if he thought the great dane growled at me and that's why he went into over protective mode.
My two broke my hand this way about two years ago. Coming down the step into the basement, I was carrying something in both hands, thankfully not glass. In any event, near the last couple steps, 2-3 to go and I went over one and because I was not far from the ground I reached out with my right hand and landed on my knuckles, almost like a punch. Of course they thought it was wrestling time and they start jumping on me and shit, they thought it was hilarious. Went to push my bitch away, who was licking my face at about a 90 lick per minute rate, and my hand didn't feel right or like it worked. Boxer break under my pinkie bone was popped out far enough to know. I now herd them everywhere.
She was cleaned and let inside immediately after the photo was taken. Couldn't say no to that little face.
Spent the weekend up at the cabin, fishing and Dierks swimming I had let nature do its work on drying him off after each swim because it was sunny and 70 Came to this after work today Spoiler We've had this once before where he gets a hotspot after swimming in the Mississippi and not drying off properly I assume it's bacterial once again Shave date tomorrow with the vet
The photogenic Belgian Malinois breed got a prime spot in the middle of the staff page -- right between a math teacher and the school's yearbook adviser. To paraphrase comments from the Bryant Police Department, which posted the photo on its Facebook page, good girl! "So it looks like one of Bryant PD's finest School Resource Officer's made the Hornet Yearbook this year. Good job Mya, you are representing the PD with pride.....Hornet Pride!!!" the officers wrote. Mya has been patrolling the halls with her own school ID badge since the beginning of the year. Mya joined the Bryant Police Department in August and was assigned to the high school. The department says she is primarily a narcotics dog, but she is also trained to perform tracking and article recovery.
One thing is that he rarely plays with anything if he is the yard alone. 90% of the time of he's alone out back he is lying on the floor of his in progress dog house or at the back door.
Oh and that's like 150 pound break strength paracord. I imagine hed snap that cord before hurting himself right?
I think you're fine. Make sure it's not too low where he can get caught up. Otherwise it's a brilliant idea
Yea I may have to adjust the height or how I have it tied. I probably need to be more worried about him pulling the limb down lol
Waiting on a litter from these English cream lab breeders in Tennessee. Wife is heart set on a female from their summer litter. Her lab this year, my golden next year. Excite.
Decided on these guys for my golden. This breeder as well as the lab breeders meet the “Bred with HEART” AKC distinction. Call me a racist, but I’ve got have a red golden retriever
He will be 5 months on the 28th of this month. And y'all can see he's not overweight, he's just huge.
Haven't posted much in this thread but thought I'd come here to get a few thoughts that might hopefully help with our dilemma. Wife and I lost our pup about four months ago to liver cancer which was of course devastating. My wife has been sending me pictures of adoptables for a few weeks and until recently I haven't really been ready but one guy caught my attention yesterday and our application was approved. So we can go meet him this weekend if we want but we're both a little nervous that it might still be too soon. Just curious how long some of y'all who have gone through the same thing have waited in the past and if you had any doubts going into getting another one. Pics of our pup who passed and the adoptable (Henry) because any excuse to post pics of dogs.
