One of the things that has bugged me about these leaks (which I unfortunately believe) is that Cersei is just so inactive during the battle. Almost all of the damage is done by Dany and while Cersei’s world is collapsing around her she apparently does no bad shit and is just waiting for Jaime to come kill her.
Either Jaime chokes out and kills Cersei or we riot Spoiler and by riot I mean I'll post about it angrily on a message board and social media
I will be disappointed if Arya doesn’t get Cersei. It’s still part of her arc and she’s the second name on her list. I still wonder if she takes Jaime’s face and kills her before this “and Jaime goes to die with her” scene. Perhaps both are mortally wounded (Jaime from fight with Euron and Cersei from a stick by needle) and they have some dramatic last scene together.
This may be me just being a fool clinging to any last hope. However, there are legitimate leakers who have gotten stuff right in the past that are saying that HBO is running a massive disinformation campaign against Freefolk. They say that HBO legitimately despises that subreddit because it’s been the major hub for leaks since season 6, and there where people from that board that snuck onto the Tower of Joy set in season 6. Episode 5 is going to be the defining episode of this entire series. It’s either going to fatally sink the show or it will right the ship slightly and allow the show to end with some dignity even if it’s still ultimately disappointing. Think about all of the shit that’s supposed to happen. You have a long-standing villain (Cersei) meeting her fate. It might be in conjunction with another longstanding character (Jaime) dying while fulfilling a long held theory. They are also heel turning their most iconic character into a villain in 1 1/2 episodes after the narrative has treated her like a hero for 7 1/2 seasons. She’s also supposed to die by the man she loves who is the show’s other Big Damn Hero. With all of that going on how is this the episode that supposedly has the most concrete spoilers out of every episode this season? Hell, going into the season episode 3 was the most hyped episode for going on a year and we had little to no spoilers about that episode until there were screen caps posted a couple hours before it aired. How does that episode have more contained spoilers than the one where you have your ironic and defining character deaths?
I do remember reading they shot multiple endings to avoid spoilers leaking. I hope that's what this Bran bullshit is.
I can’t tell if you are sarcastically mocking the idea or not lol. Just to be clear, I’m not saying I believe it. I’ve spent entirely too much time on Freefolk and the bullshit is at an all time high since episode 3 aired. Although, that’s just typical Reddit so jokes on me.
I mean, what would be the point. So far the majority of the spoilers have been pretty spot on. The Dany mad queen twist is a lot bigger thing than bran on the throne. If they spent time and money on fake endings while letting the story go to crap I'd be pissed.
I mean it gives me enjoyment to know that HBO is running a counter-intelligence operation against a subreddit. Like the knowledge of that makes me smile.
I don’t necessarily want spoilers but for folks reading into it and for betting purposes: Who dies first: Cersei vs dany Jon vs Bran
So seems like the Spanish review has been spot on so far so much for fake leaks lol. These assholes have done just as poor a job keeping episodes from leaking as they have writing them this season.
I’m actually laughing that Dany goes “mad” because of literal fucking bells while Cersei is humanized during her death.
Pisses me off to no end that HBO offered them a blank check and however many episodes they wanted but D&D said “we only need 6.” The mad Dany thing is infuriating because it goes against every single thing they established her as for 7 seasons. And they completely flip her character in ten minutes over two episodes. But hey... bells. Also thanks for the 80 minute episodes but it means jack shit if five minutes of that is Arya approaching a horse because... it’s a good shot aesthetically?
Show will end with Bran and Davos as the only two left to protect the Seven Kingdoms, which will be a tribute to Hurley and Ben on Lost.
I love the dudes that are still defending this horrible fucking landing to a spectacular show. Hey Dany being a murderous cunt while Cersi dies with the man she loves not wanting her baby to die. Fuck out of her. Also love the person who wasn't afraid of death being reduced to a fucking war correspondent riding off into the sunset on a white horse.
All rushed Should have been ten episodes Don't even care how it's played out. Really wish cersei could have gotten offed better. Fuck all the Lanisters though. And the rape and pillage is part of the deal when a city is taken. Jamie even said as much at river run last season
I know the spoilers can be hard to keep track of but I’ll post again what will happens next week. Spoiler Jon snow finally sees Arya after they reach the Irone Throne in King's Landing. She was "useless" in the fight according to leaks. (meaning I don't think she killed/fought any high profile people)Dany starts executing everyone in Kings landing (Tyrion and Jon are upset) Dany has Tyrion arrested for freeing his brother. (his trial is supposed to have neither Dany or Jon present) Tyrion tries to convince Jon to turn on Dany. His family will never be safe because it threatens Dany's legitimacy. Jon is horrified by what Dany has done to King's Landing, and she gives speeches about how she'll keep doing it to free slaves from their chains. He's also convinced by Tyrion that his family will never be safe because he presents a threat to her rule. Jon tries to talk to Dany but she ignores him thinking she is justified. Jon pledges himself to Dany, then stabs her, and surrenders himself.
I miss the days when you didn't have to defend the show because the writing and adaptation was so good I didn't require people trying to justify shit. No one was foreshadowing the Red wedding and it was excellent literature/Television. No one was foreshadowing Hold the door and that was freaking amazing. This extreme of a turn for Dany in one episode is just dumb and it's only going to be out done in stupidity by making Mr I no longer want for anything become the king of the seven kingdoms. I hope before they make Jon kill Dany she's at least plotting to murder all the innocent people in Westerlands because they're just as guilty by association as the people in Kings Landing. Also since she's "mad" she better be planning to kill that traitor Sansa also, even though I'm sure her bloodlust will suddenly be quenched by next week Smh the fact fat fuck is distancing himself from this ending, the actors are pooping on it, the network is making sure they let people know they offered these assholes more shows to flesh all this out properly but D&D declined, and that these dudes are getting the hell out of Dodge for the finale should have been foreshadowing that this ending was going to suck.
None of this will happen and it will go out with a whimper. Everyone involved has basically said it sucks.
D&D in the behind the episode: “Dany ultimately went mad because she’s a Targaryen.” Cool cool... so I guess we can expect Jon to go mad next episode too? Also, the audacity of them to put that “every time a Targaryen is born the gods flip a coin” in this episode to contrast Dany and Jon. Do D&D realize that doesn’t mean that between two Targaryens one has to go mad? In the entirety of the Targaryen’s 300 year rule you can really only argue that THREE people went mad: Aerys, Baelor, and Maegor. Poor Jaime too. Ends up with literally no character development. Poor Jon. He’s just a plot device to move other character’s story along.
Episode was so stupefyingly bad I don’t quite know what to say. Cinematography and scoring was good, so there’s that... but plot and dialogue alternated between horrific and nonexistent
