Listened to the NLU pod with Max Homa. Just pure raw emotion, excitement and tremendous view into how he handled everything at the WF Championship. Also, gives you some serious perspective at how fucking hard it is to win a golf tournament and how insanely good the guys who consistently really are.
I can buy a golf club from you to lure you out to have a drink finally. Playing Admirals Cove tomorrow.
Dicks, PGA tour superstore and TM website are all doing extra 50% trade in value if you buy an M5 or M6.
I feel bad for Smilie. I hope he gets back to the web.com tour and finds his groove again. Same for Wesley Bryan
So I cracked my driver at a lesson yesterday. Big horizontal crack above the center line on my Ping G30. My pro had the Cobra driver and the twin Srixon drivers on hand. I hit the 575 really well. The cobra was an unforgiving hard piece of shit imo. I’m going to hit the Epic Flash, M6 and the new Ping but might end up with the Srixon anyways.
They are pretty good. It kind of depends on your circumstances. If you are traveling to Alabama to play golf they are probably the worst on the RTJ trail (Auburn, Prattville, Muscle Shoals are all awesome) but they are definitely decent and worth playing if you are in town looking for somewhere to play.
I played M6 and Epic Flash last week and really liked the Flash. May pull the trigger next week. I was thinking about checking out the SEC baseball tournament and playing a late afternoon round there. They are shockingly cheap.
Also, fun fact....you can add up the total winnings of BOTH Jigga fantasy golf teams and he'd still have less than my team!
It doesn't make it feel any more important to me, but I prefer "Oh hey another major already, thats cool" than "Only the PGA left " after the British
Ross Bridge is better (also RTJ) but can be a lot more expensive. I think you will enjoy either of the Oxmoor courses if you get a good price.
Exactly this The PGA is still without a doubt the worst major (and perhaps not even a top 4 event in golf), and this change makes it feel no different
At least it is at a great course this year though. I will like the change more and more each year though as it becomes more normal.
I really hope we see a theme of the US Open sticking to old school, classical architecture courses while the PGA moves to some of the best new courses in golf. Would at least give the PGA some sort of identity. Granted, Bethpage doesn’t fit into that identity at all. But like you said, I am still glad we see a major on a pretty awesome course.
You are going to cone at Big Cat for 15k? Must just figure for pocket change he won't bother with the hassle
“The lawsuit, filed by Immesberger’s parents, Katherine Belowsky and Scott Duchene, seeks damages in excess of $15,000.” Short of like adoption or some seriously progressive views on taking last names, I honestly cannot figure out how all 3 people have different last names.
It looks like the kid took his moms maiden name when she divorced his actual father Scott Duchene. Katherine then married John Belowsky and took that name as her last. One set of his grand parents are the only one who share the Immesberger name.
has the PGA ever felt more irrelevant? I just can't get excited for it. Weather looks sketchy. Move it back to August.
