Read a story that said he gave them his major plot lines including who ultimately ends up on the throne.
They filmed several endings so it seems possible even the “winner” (if one even exists) doesn’t know yet
Congrats to Lena Headey for making $1 million an episode to drink wine and look over KL for a season.
Im as bad as anyone about trashing the last few seasons especially this one. But there is a lot to like about this season. The visuals are amazing, the dragons are awesome. Also they got a few things right the last episode when it comes goodbyes. Arya calling the Hound, Sandor, the scene where Tyrion frees Jaime was well done and touching. As much as Cersei is a terrible person her saying "I don't want to die" humanized her.
As someone who has seen some real spoilers but still enjoys this thread....there are some assholes in here posting their "theories" and "guesses" that need to fuck off.
Rewatching ep 4. While celebrating in winterfell, Bran does this weird (weirder than usual) look behind him when talking to Tyrion about “not envying him....he’s mostly living in the past”. Wonder what that’s about. Probably nothing
Cant believe they couldn’t think of anything better for Lena Headey to do than stare out of windows for 2 seasons.
Questions must be asked of DD with respect to Euron. Do they really hate GRRM so much that they intentionally rewrote him as pirate Bam Margera?
I don’t even want to see what Cersei’s screen time was in season 8. She did nothing. Travesty for such a great character.
I feel like the people who are upset with the way Jamie went out are probably book readers. We only got thru book 5, but it certainly seemed like he was on a redemption arc in the books. Maybe GRRM always planned for him to come back to her in the end? Does anyone remember if the show touched on the volanqar prophecy in the Maggie the Frog episode? I don't remember her mentioning it. So maybe book version ends with him killing her and then dying under the keep after?
To go away from people bitching, and not sure if this was mentioned, but perhaps Tyrion threw Varys under the bus to save Jon and keep the mission alive to make him the proper King. Idk. But I did love this episode, and every character has become what they have been DEVELOPED to be
Tyrion is scared of her, as Sansa said. I think he realized the conspiracy was coming to her attention one way or the other, and going to her and sacrificing Varys was the only solution.
Gave them bullet points and left it up to D&D to fill in the details. The more I think about what's happened and what's likely to happen, the more ok I am with it. The problem has been and will likely be on Sunday is the how. The last 2 seasons have done such a bad job setting up the finale that I think whatever they do will ring hollow for most book fans and a lot of the show fans. You want to tell a bittersweet ending to an epic story? Fine. That makes it even better imo. But it can still be done in ways that are satisfying, and nothing I've seen over the last two seasons leads me to believe that will happen. I hope I'm wrong.
Imagine dying on a hill and then being risen by the Night King only to have Sam The Slayer stab you with a dragonglass dagger for you to die all over again and you'd be basically Emmy Rossum being completely oblivious to the mountain of Mad Queen evidence in this thread
Are you completely forgetting what I posted the other day or just being a cocksucker for the sake of it?
Repost from book thread I’m beginning to think the way Cersei and Jamie went out was intentional so as to be a factor in the last episode. If there’s no bodies discovered due to the rubble, Dany won’t know for sure they’re dead and this perpetuates her madness/she suspects Tyrion helped them escape.
Jamie held her while the life left her body. Maybe not exactly what the prophecy states but close enough.
