Even if they somehow figured out a compensation deal with the NCAA, wouldn't this game be years away in production anway? I assume the game doesn't have any current staff or people working on it, It's never been on next-gen consoles, new engines, etc., etc.
Unlikely it’d be longer than a 12-18 month cycle given the Madden engines existence and the ability to build off of that as a foundation.

So you're saying there's a chance. I'm curious what NCAA 2019 would look like. I assume it would be littered with microtransactions like every other game these days. What could they even be in NCAA? Hire better recruiters? Buy uniform upgrades? Performance upgrades/boosts?
And the fact that NCAA hasn't been available during the bulk of the GOAT dynasty is some absolute bullshit. Bama's roster this year would be so damn filthy and they'd be an 8* program by now. Yes I'm mad.
I just want to recruit again. Turning Wyoming into the best program into the country gave me an undeserved sense of satisfaction.
I played online dynasties and we rarely got past year 2. And I played a lot of ranked online. Bama was good the last few years of the game but never really great bc the team was generally slow. WR's and RB's were 96 overalls but only like 91 speed and speed was everything in that game. I'll take a 78 with 99 speed over a 98 with 88 speed.
I mean I'm a Bama fan. I used them way back pre-Saban when they sucked on the game too. And like I said, Bama wasn't that great on NCAA. Teams with fast QB's and fast WR's were the good teams. I play with the Yankees on The Show too. They have 3 starters available on the current roster bc of injuries. I still use them.

This. I had Madden 15 and then stopped buying it for a few years. Recently I saw on the PSN store madden 19 was on sale for 11 bucks and I was like ehh lemme give this a shot I'm sure a lot has changed in 4 years. Wrong. I was honestly dumbfounded by how Its the exact same fucking game. The franchise mode is identical. Not a single difference. Truly amazing that people buy it year after year. So if we had gotten an NCAA15(because of the next gen consoles) then NCAA 19 would probably be more or less the same with roster updates
The Madden focus every year is almost exclusively on MUT, tackling animations, and catching animations. I wish they would improve franchise mode but it’s been the same for at least five years.
They’re trying to rip off NBA 2K for Madden 20 and adding badges that allow certain players to get boosts in certain situations, ie Patrick Mahomes will be able to throw 80 yards max when he is “in the zone” (akin to takeover in 2K). The game is going to be utter trash with the scripted BS.
