Usually every 4th week, but due to timing this week we pushed it to the 5th week so I’ll have 2 weeks to peak for the meet. I feel much better this week but I’m ready for that deload
I'd say its right about the amount of food intake. I've just never have had a protein intake at 245/grams per day. Also minimal sugar and no coke is not ideal. I just need to get in the groove and get used to it
Bought some metcons, really like the feel of them. Wanna try deadlifting in them but have made so much progress going barefoot that I'm scared, will probably just wait till my volume day next week and see how they feel. Hopefully can help my OHP as I can't find a good shoe for it.
I've been deadlifting and squatting in Metcons for a couple years now after being firm in the barefoot camp. Pretty good/versatile shoe overall, but I'd never do any running in them

I have high arches... Metcons are really uncomfortable for me. Reeboks have been much better and like half the price.
Decided to do deads at the gym with the metcons, didn't go that well. Top set was supposed to be 440 x 5, was extremely lucky to get 4. Last rep was literally on my fingertips, shit bar with absolutely no grip. Got a ton of other back/hamstring work in and expecting to barely be able to walk tomorrow. Currently a big fan of snatch pulls.

So my squat has actually regressed this block. I think we figured out a few things to switch from programming to squat stance and are making some tweaks for the next block. Really excited to get this thing moving again
Didn't have any glute pain in the first time in forever from deads so it was hey, let's do high volume squats today with my pressing. Yes, I certainly feel you now.
Yeah sad to say I really haven’t done a 1RM in a long time to base my work load around. I did 335 x 1 prolly close to 2 years ago. Damn. I gotta redo that.

Took Sunday funday a bit too far yesterday but had one of my better sessions today. Volume deads, lunges, rows, some quad focused squats, and some banded good mornings. Worked the fuck out of my back and weight was moving well, can't wait to not be able to walk tomorrow.

day one squatting after 3 months off. my glutes cramping up after set two was not great. This diet has a super high protein but super low in carbs. Not fun
Wanted to invest in a duffalo bar and some weights. But now ill possibly have to move and prob lose my home gym for awhile even all together. Really throws a wrench in my plans. Not happy.
