Yeah, I'm no where near you guys right now. Played for first time in 10 days due to vacation last night. Played for 2 hours. Leveled up a couple of times. Still loving the game.
I beat the capitol building last now and am now world tier 1. How do I get to 2? Do I basically have to beat the game again? My PS4 fucked up and lost connection when some sort of video was playing
I get back from Micronesia around Cinco de Mayo supposedly when raids come out. Gonna need some teaming up with my people and your people
What are the raids? I was at a Control Point re-stocking and 2 purples and 2 yellows walked right through the entrance. Caused a melee to ensue. Had never seen them grouped like that when roaming. Maybe one yellow and 3 normal True Sons. Never that many strong together outside of side missions and main missions. Had never had them walk into a Control Point either. Has this happened to you other players? Was fun chaotic scene for a few.
Well this got quiet. GS 502, just kinda doing the daily missions now until that gets boring. Bring on the raid, please.
I'm still no where near most of you guys. I'm leveled up to level 20 now. Starting to really get some good shit. Really enjoying going into the sewers. No matter what I run into an elite patrol each time. I get real excited if they are all yellows cause they always drop something real good. I use a Military M60 in the sewers with 120 round magazine when they get close. Otherwise, loving the level 20 MK17 rifle. That thing mows down quickly from a distance.
Either our group is getting better, our gear is top notch, or we were just lucky but just did tidal basin on challenge and didn’t struggle
This game gets better and better. I really like how they've got much more variety in the game around elite enemies. I was doing really well on a Main Mission last night. Almost about to beat it and an elite patrol came up from behind me and murdered me. All yellows. One had a chain saw. Another had a fucking sledge hammer. The other two, one had that massive shield and other a M60 I think. I had zero chance as I was Level 20 and they were all equivalent. Not to mention guys left on Main Mission I was trying to kill.
I'm WT5 and my guy sucks. Gear score is like 475 and never really get any exciting loot.Nominally better, if at all, after a reroll. All my gear set drops are horrifically bad and wearing 4+ to a set seems to be worse than using 4 gold talents. My guns feel like BB guns.
Don't forget to recalibrate your gear. That should bump up your GS by 20+. Just keep wearing your highest GS items and the hood stuff will start rolling in.
Just figured that out in the last couple of days. Could not beat this one Elite Patrol in a sewer. Happened to go back to HQ and re-calibrated. Some of the positive bumps were actually very large. Wasted them all in first time back. Big fan or re-calibrating now.
Yeah, I'm doing that, which is why my character feels so shitty. I just need to play with some 500+ folks who want to share their hand-me-downs. Got bros in my 'clan' who joined VictorJ24 and I in the middle of the mission to get to WT5, and they got to skip most of the grind by going WT1 to WT5 just by joining our session. His character is stronger than mine in every way and he rarely plays (I only play a couple sessions a week)
Next weeks raid patch sets 500 as max GS with a separate “recalibration score” like a 1-100 bank worth of recalibration you can do to each one (I think is the concept). Hoping it means you can modify more than one thing but maybe not. I know there’s not a cap on attribute rolls in new system the full amount goes on the new piece. You tried making a 3R/7B/7Y build yet? One of the few talent combos that’s going to still be better with the patch: Compensated on gloves (goin from +15% to +20% wpn dmg if < 15% CHC). Patience on kneebraces: IV of armor repair if in cover. On The Ropes on backpack: +25% wpn dmg when skills are on cool down. Put devastating or hard hitting on everything else. Guns I do AR-optimist LMG-Unhinged 3 reds - massive DTE roll on mask, ~10% wpn dmg, ~8-10% dmg for specific weapon of choice. Use +skill power on all the yellows should get you some damn good mods in the 2700-2400 range. Real razzledazzle when you have on the ropes activated... Compensated and OTR give your +40% dmg alone. Using survivalist for +15% AR perk I get +95% AR dmg when skills are on cool down. LMG is around 75%. Couple of gear sets have +10% dmg for whatever weapon Go into battle Toss seeker mine Pop 4-5 (of 6 ammo) oxidizer chem Run into the shit and get in cover ???? Profit ***Chem you just need ONE ammo to be recharging for OTR to activate. Just make sure you never have max rounds full. I shoot 5 of them and get 60s worth of cool down before I have to use again, but have a never ending supply. 60s cooldown on seeker too. Sub in fire/reinforcer chem if necessary. Pretty damn fun and challenge missions I rarely go down and no BB gun feel. Got stoned the other night and made 3/7/7 loadouts for R/AR, AR/LMG and LMG/SMG one per specialization. Took ab an hour.
HMU if I’m online when you do daily hard/challenge missions or bounties I’ll drop whoever needs gear some 497-500 shit. Give away all loot that doesn’t have crazy att/talent combo at the end of any matchmaking I do. Prob 10-12 pieces each.
Imagine your friends wanting you to do something simple like play a bad video game but not doing it Imagine being an auburn fan Imagine being too fucking dense to notice when a shit game is shit
All of the things that could be said about Destiny 2 at launch can be said about Division 2 at launch. Not enough content, watered down pvp, undesirable gear But hey the dlc is free. So thats good right? Probably wont mean the content is fed to the players too slowly. And it probably means nothing that Division's top youtuber has said he's not focusing on the game anymore. But what do i know, im just a guy who plays more than three games per year
I sincerely feel for you that a "top youtuber" gives you validation for your opinions. It seems like the only thing you "know" is that your opinions on video games are actual facts. Calling someone "dense" because they enjoy playing a video game is pretty near rock bottom of neck bearding. Roll tide
Judging by your posting you probably follow the thread too. a thread discussing a video game you hate, and presumably don't play. That ignore thread button would probably help out with blood pressure and general well being. bet you won't stop posting ITT though
I think it's a great game. I loved Division I. The is vastly superior. Quick question. When did the Dark Zone become available for everyone? I'm now a level 26 and still don't have access. Is there a mission I need to beat or something I need to accomplish to open it up?
Yeah there will be a mission available after the dz person shows up in the white house. Happened fairly early on in the game I think.
Cool. One more question. Is the gear in the Dark Zone better than gear I would find anywhere else? Just curious. I still have yet to find a single "Exotic" gear item so far in normal map.
Title Update #2 coming tonight at 2am. Pre-update: yes but only at WT5 the DZ had 515 gear that you couldn’t get in any PvE modes. Post-Update: no. Challenge/heroic difficulty in WT5 will drop best gear available and IIRC raids will drop exclusive best gear in the game. But exotics I don’t think drop until endgame anyways... pretty sure on that.
From the general feedback of Patch test servers it sounds and feels like D1 process all over again as far as changes to the game. The content obviously for D2 is exponentially more than D1 in terms of initial release. But for gameplay: Release- things are good game is fun but this and this could be changed Title Update 1- the fuck is wrong with massive. Everything I’ve done is a waste they made it worse (D1 they nerfed gear across the board badly, D2 not as bad but added a negligible amount of content and failed at Power vs Time you kill Spongey balancing) Title Update 2- learned from #1 and added an awesome game mode and new gear (D1: most of the green gear sets came out and Underground mode) D2 looking like per PTS takes: Buff skills / skill mod system to make them more useful Buff exotic weapons across the board Lower Purple/Yellow damage and health = no spongeyness at all even on heroic, but there’s more enemies and they’re “harder” to kill bc they don’t face tank you due to their high health. This one confirmed by multiple people and is the biggest change needed Raids mode Don’t think they put any new green sets in the PTS but D1 had like 15 of them so you’d assume they add more each major update. And the blowback from the uselessness of the first 3 hopefully means future green gear has x3-6 piece bonuses worth building around
Aces and 8s 2- 20% handling 3- 20% accuracy 4- 10% marksman dmg 5- paragraph ab stuff similar to the true patriot 3-buff deal - sharpshooter only 6- the #5 buffs apply to all party/raid members Tip of Spear 2- 20% pulse skill power 3- 20% cooldown 4- 20% protection from elites 5- survivalist: crossbow bolts send 9m pulse when detonating 6- any kill triggers small pulse from enemy and all party/raid members deal +20% dmg to pulsed targets Negotiators dilemma 2- 10k armor on kill 3- 30% health 4- 30% explosive resistance 5- Demolitionist: if armor gets depleted, auto fires a grenade at target that depleted armor, 3s cooldown 6- explosions by player stack a buff. Each stack gives +10% explosive dmg to all party/raid members and 10% bonus armor to player for 10s. Not too crazy ab them but they could be fun for one person to have the Spear and Dilemma ones in your raid. Which goes live at 11am central on Thursday.
Played the invadeds to get GWH and District nemesis blueprints in case they reset again Thursday. Played w two friends a pretty good 498 and meh brother inzahnwetrust (kill thief per the mission stats). GWH challenging Jefferson Hard Bank HQ normal District Challenging Normal is a stat contest. Tons of enemies. Fall real fast though. Hard is a casual ~17-19min. Prob good for experimenting w a build Challenging is much easier than it was before but still hard enough to fuck you up if you treat it like normal mode Had to tell the other two if they rushed up stat whoring I wasn’t reviving. 30sec time-out. It feels like they added a lot of enemies. They’re a lot easier to kill, dmg wise. They sty in cover better and blind fire from behind cover more though. Sniper dogs are the hardest enemy in the game now. Not sure if there’s a trick to killing them Game feel just right difficulty wise. Heroic would be a bit of an challenge but not annoyingly spongey like before. I honestly hope the raid is impossible though.
I know matchmaking supposedly makes it easier to win massive missions and get gear more quickly. I'm still enjoying just doing solo. Got in Dark Zone finally and already pulled out a gun that was more powerful than my primary. Another question. I read an article that you should choose gear based upon it's rating first and not how much it positively impacts your armor/health. Has this actually played out on the game itself? The article mentioned that you get better gear drops when you do this on main missions, side missions and killing elites.
Your gear drops are based on your gear score so it helps. I wouldn't sacrifice a ton if you are soloing everything. The new patch should help some
They'll have to change it soon, or the game will die. I like this game, but have nobody to play it with. Most people aren't going to have 7 others on at the same time to play with.
I mean, it usually is, but to not even have the option will keep people from being able to play it at all. An outside LFG will need to be created.
i will continue to play new content when its released and then bitch about how the lack of paid dlc is slowing down the stream of content
