Stros have arms on the farm for days. Brewers could maybe be a partner but idk about Hiura as he was just called up this week ... I still think it's the #Cincinnati Reds that would be our best trade partner. Taylor Trammell and Jonathan India #LFG
This makes me really sad. As terrible as he was June and beyond in 2018, still a 2.5 WAR player on Frangraphs ...
Who would we be trading for? I don't think the Reds are giving up Trammell unless it's for a proven ace. India is very likely to get dealt though.
The Reds would be absolute idiots to trade Trammel for a MLB caliber player right now. We’re 8 games back in the toughest division in baseball, we’ll be lucky to finish .500 this year. Edit: I didn’t see you wanted to trade for prospects. Hitting has been our Achilles heel this year, I can’t see trading Puig’s eventual replacement for more pitching.
LH starter Matthew Boyd, and we can work our closer Shane Greene in to the deal. But yeah, Trammell is probably untouchable ...
They made those moves to get people back in the stands to look like they were trying to compete, nobody thinks we’ll contend this year.
Boyd is young and controllable for a few more seasons. He fits your championship window perfectly. Also a lefty which would be helpful vs teams like the Brewers ...
We are going to easily lose 100 games. We are throwing 2 AAA hacks for remainder of season. Turnbull will get injured . Greene will get traded.
Honestly, how can any of you fan boys defend Avila? There are zero every day players on this current roster. I removed Castellanos from the equation as he is gone after this year. Cameron has a sub 700 OPS in Toledo, and there is not much beyond that. We’ve had Avila for 3 + full years now and he’s yet to produce an every day player. And that includes sell offs of JV, JD, and Wilson. Fucking pathetic.
I've said on a number of different occasions I think Avila is a bad GM and not up to the job of rebuilding the team. I wish they never hired him, and I would like for them to fire him now. If that makes me the biggest Avila fan boy, I would say this thread has a pretty strong agreement in terms of its stance on the current front office.
Just looked up Sandy Baez stats in AAA. He has a 7.84 ERA and a 1.88 WHIP. Seems like he will fit right in.
