first legit "raid session" tonight with some randoms thru discord. requirement to join was you were gonna stick out the Boomer fight for at least a couple of hours. Few guys were prepared for an all nighter bc of destiny and WoW. Think we went at it for about 2.5 hours. Got the process down to a T but didn't have the DPS to finish him off after getting down to ~30% armor remaining. Adds are too strong for most people's builds thought my AR (25K base) one would do it but naaaah. if you don't have a AR/SMG that does 30K base and an LMG that does around 30-35K you're not gonna have fun. Guy in the group suggested Dual LMG M60s with Unhinged. go all out reds. with unhinged I got up to 49% wpn / 33% lmg / 60% dte. and 40/50 crits. Gonna try it next time I attempt they're doing ~65K per shot to elite and 115K headshot on the firing range. Only thing that makes it work is Filler Up talent on holster. Shoot LMG 1 to empty. Shoot LMG 2 to empty. Either reload #2 or switch to pistol and unload. Filler Up = reloading LMG 1/2 or Pistol from empty refills all your guns. The actual system for killing him takes a really coordinated group effort and pretty much have to be flawless with the laptops, turret + dps phase, and chest healer. And everyone be some damn good kites.
Send me an invite. My people are cool with the merge and want to try raiding with your people. I’ll need to get promoted to where I can send them invites too
My b took a little longer than I thought to setup new KB+M rig. Hadn’t played a FPS on one since back in the early 2000s CS Source days. Ho boy I can see why people are salty about people using these in PvP Def having to learn controller and mechanics all over again. First mission was sloppy. Like a Greg Odom Sniper Spoiler Took a couple missions to tune in the sensitivity and stop mashing wrong buttons. Headshot city once aim settings got right. Spoiler
AIP dont know if I would have survived that group last night had I stayed, without muting the one guy... For real though send a raven to whoever is in charge to send me a clan invite / promote me to where I can invite 4 homeys
Had to take a break due to some travel shit. Played last night and took out a stronghold pretty easily by my thoughts. Doing another stronghold tonight before hitting Capital building stronghold this week. Does everything get invaded as soon as you take out all strongholds? I assume so. I'm a Level 32 currently, having hit 2 level ups since hitting 30. Still have to complete a few side missions and daily secret missions as well. Have no idea what my overall score is though.
save the side missions for world tier 5. beat all the strongholds > everything gets invaded > each invaded stronghold has 3 missions to do to unlock it. start knocking those out bc each stronghold you beat gets you to the next world tier. not really any reason to dilly dally in world tiers 1-4 because everything you get gear-wise will be underpowered once you get to the next one (each world tier has a 50point gear range) so you might as well get to WT5 where you get 450-500 gear.
Nemesis is pretty fun. little mechanic where you hold down trigger and "charge" the shot to do more damage. running it with MK17 and sharpshooter for the stability/headshot/rifle/digiscope perks. 3/7/4 compensated, patience, efficient, 4 HHs and 1 devastating. Got up to 240K HS on rifle and 1.92M HS on nemesis vs. elites. taking out around 30 weakpoints a mission with that rifle. and it fucks helmets up. tank elites on heroic ain't shit when you destroy backpack point and helmet in 1 mag. switch to nemesis for a 1shot kill Got 3 loadouts saved that all use Sharpshooter. R/AR all reds DPS. Nem/R self heal (and jammer pulse for black tusk is a life saver). Nem/AR self heal + shield. Actually pretty nice for running challenging/heroic and being able to change inbetween fights. Just gotta keep all the gear for each one in INV instead of stash. Also have an AR/LMG all reds and AR/Chatterbox crit+filler-up to swap between when using either of the other two specializations when I feel like getting in the shit on missions.
Director David Leitch, Jessica Chastain, and Jake Gyllenhaal are bringing Ubisoft’s The Division to Netflix. It’s the Tom Clancy high-stakes action you love, in the pandemic stricken Manhattan that offers no second chances.
hope the first expansion coming this week isn't shitty. new story missions will probably be good going off of the initial story missions + whatever faction stronghold that's probably included. but really gonna have to be a good game mode they're adding this week to make me hang around after beating the expansion missions. hopefully it's an underground type mode from TD1 or the survivor mode / resistance mode.
Oh my. What a nightmare on the mic. After he explained his 4th favorite build I just turned down chat volume on my headphones. Since any kind of game communication was almost impossible. Had to wait 10min for him to take a breath just to tell you to turn GWH on challenging. Good god. Looks like the update was just new specialization and random changes (good ones at least). But since year one pass has the Gunner already without the 5 quest deal I’m prob gonna get on today, see if I can put together a raid build w new changes and send your bounce Az a list of other guys to invite from my crew. We could easily organize a legit attempt at the raid (boomer at least). My guys would commit ~2 hours if we actually picked a night to do it. Just need VictorJ24 and 47 straight to stop wasting time in the DZ and join.
If you can get frank and Paul on the same night it’s pure joy !! He is a good guy though and I call him friend
Oh no doubt he seem like a pretty good dude, but take every post that I’ve made about gear and builds in this thread and multiply that times five, and that’s how much he talked about his 12 builds in a 90 minute span
Good people need to be muted sometimes :shrugging: Main reason I use mic by necessity only in random match made missions. Turn on mic and say one thing like “there’s a heavy on the right watch out” and someone will tell you about their build and their problems with the game for the rest of the mission. P sure we ruined one dudes night a while back. Joined up as our 4th. We quit party chat to see if he was talking since he was rushing in spawning enemies then dying repeatedly in rooms. we were silent for a bit to see if he would talk... my buddy coughed. Dude hears that and starts "hey man, i'm dying a bunch this new build I'm trying......" after 2-3 minutes straight without taking an inhale, I just practically yelled "yo you say another word about the build and you're goin on mute" he was perplexed and kept talking so we muted. P sure he could still hear us talking the rest of the mission as if he weren't there and one of my buddies was laying into him. I actually think he left the group ~10min after mute and like 1 fight before the end of the mission. couldn't take not being able to tell us about his new 5-7-7 Unbreakable LMG
for serious though talk to your people about a raid on _____ weeknight and pick one. I've got 3 plus me just need 4 from your DSM. 3 of us have tried and know the general idea on boomer/builds and the 4th is oldest brother LAU and he's a gamer gamer. he'd pick up on it real quick / would youtube it if we organized one
joined yalls group after you were done tuesday. played through like 9 bounties with frank. no mic this time. infinitely better experience
There's only one reason to play right now - get the Gunner Specialization. I got it with season 1 pass. There's a multi-part mission to unlock it for plebs. It's v fun to play with. Spoiler: gunner tree upgrades Ability tree includes: can spec 15% weapon damage on any 3 gun types you want (same with all specializations but previously was the only reason to change specializations) +10% armor on kill Every 3rd reload is 50% faster Armor kit repairs 100% instant + 50% bonus armor for 10s LMG pouch with +50 rounds Every 60s: you regen 10% of your ammo, group regens 5% of theirs Rate of fire +5% for 5s on kill +20% weapon handling when not moving They created a fantastic tank base. the minigun with maxed out tree upgrade can take out an enemy tank on challenging in 1 150rd mag at medium range... and if it doesn't the reload is like 0.5sec you just shake the gun one time and it's full again. Also when you take the gun out, it practically gives you invincibility for 5s. new special ammo system by far easiest to stay full with this spec too. Unless they add some other better silly cheese stuff into the game I think this build is it for me. Works on heroic content and solo challenge stuff is easy so hopefully if a raid happens it'll do there too Spoiler: build screens below of gear. guy hasn't updated since TU3 so had to fill in some stuff in a blank mod slot. Looks like a standard balanced build. Has some tricks that make it real real fun Steady Handed - shots #1-15 landed stack 2% handling. Every bullet after that has 5% chance to refill the mag. If refill happens, cycle repeats... I've had the LMG refill ~3 times in one fight. The AR normally refills at least once but in the off chance that the LMG gets empty the AR reload reloads both guns via Holster's Fillerup Liberty holstered talent - destroying enemy weakpoint/armor puts 20% of mag capacity back in. Kinda absurd to combine this with SH since every drone/armor/etc keeps putting 30rounds back in the LMG... Unstoppable Force much better with the above two talents since you don't waste time reloading. +5% ROF on kill just amplifies this. LMG with 150 rounds and UF/ROF activated mows down crowds. Not to mention it's constantly pumping 10% armor back on, in addition to Patience % armor. Single Tap Chem Reinforcer is back so in the very small % chance I actually need it, drop and start firing again... Or pre-drop before starting the fight. And lastly the Liberty Talent applies to Minigun. Not really fair at that point having a gatlin gun that can pump out ~450 rounds while almost invincible.
Update 5 coming most likely next week. Seen these as some of the changes: Difficulty setting options for the raid. And matchmaking Thank god Skills getting a big shot of steroids Expeditions game mode New missions / area of DC (and new enemy faction I think)
Someone ask Odin what’s funny via PM and report back. He wants to talk. TU5 summary and early reviews sound great. Skills buffed a shitload without any Gun nerfs... finally balancing without doing damage to existing builds. Sounds like matchmaking on raid is a crapshoot for getting people that use mics/aren’t potatoes. Probably useful if you’ve already got 4-6 and need to fill the group. Several people say 2-3 good players can carry a group thru the new difficulty mode if need be. Good enough for me just want to experience the whole thing tbh Zoo and Camp missions not available w/o season pass til next week but people who’ve played them say they’re the best yet for terrain/visual. Expeditions mode sounds great but also not available for most til next week. 3 individual sections with their own theme, enviro puzzles, and boss mechanics. Changed up each week. Big fan AIP time to get a DSM raid going one night this week. I got 2-3 plus myself
