"Sorry, we had to take a few shortcuts and just write it that Dany forgot about the Iron Fleet and got real mad when she saw the Red Keep because we were a little tied up designing some GoT guitars." - D&D
Disagree completely. The point of Jaime is that he’s changed from who he was. The ending does a complete disservice to his character and everything he’s done for the past few seasons. It also ignores that Jaime was told 3 episodes ago that Cersei had Bronn attempt to kill him. Jaime explains that he doesn't care about the innocent, which is false based on the show's own canon. It also ruins Brienne’s character. Brienne a strong female character who ignored what society told her she should be and stayed true to herself throughout the show. She develops an emotional bond with Jaime. They then have Jaime take her virginity and then immediately leave after being told Cersei is trying to have him murdered and turn Brienne into the crying woman whose man is leaving. It's awful. You also know it's awful when almost every single actor on the show cannot say a good word about how it ended for their character. I don't care about the end result with the characters as long as the development and actions of the characters make sense with them arriving where they do. D&D failed miserably with it.
did anyone read this? it's quite long but i thought it was intriguing https://blogs.scientificamerican.co...fans-hate-the-last-season-of-game-of-thrones/ joey jo-jo jr shabadoo Mr Bulldops
wouldnt load for me, but unless it is just a posting of this clip it is inaccurate as far as im concerned
Sorry, I broke it, I was in the middle of reading it and it shit out and reloaded blank. It was actually an interesting take
In the heat of battle? Sure. The people of Kings Landing weren't slaves. Of course they weren't rising up to liberate themselves from their masters. The fight was over. It. Was. Over. It only started up again BECAUSE she started roasting everyone. And again, no one is suggesting she would have balked at collateral damage. Our issue is that it felt forced for her to GO OUT OF HER WAY to just straight up murder innocent people for the first time ever. If it had been people getting crushed by her tearing the castle down? Sure, I can get behind that. That seems earned. Murdering the Lannister army, even after they already threw down their weapons? Absolutely. Winning The Last War, looking up at the Red Keep and seeing the symbol of all you had lost and the place where your final enemy resides and deciding "Fuck you, Cersei and all my other enemies. I'm gonna murder these hundreds of thousands of people that aren't fighting against me just 'cause" doesn't really jibe at this point. imo
I thought this was a very detailed theory on what happens in the final episode Pelican Grove if you just posted spoilers for the final episode as what you “think” happens you are a real asshole dude
In case something is wrong with the quote thing, I can see it and this is it... "And I'd get into all these arguments and fights with the writers and they're like "Yeah, we heare you." "Yeah but please, you have to babiba..." And they go "Yeah, we hear you and we respect you, but we don't care. Ok, we don't.. (fuck). You're an actor, just say the words." They didn't say it like that, but that was the gist. And the funny thing is, we've gotten through these song-and-dance-routines every season since season 4, where I come back and I'm like "This doesn't make sense!"" - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Random Hot Pie trivia I found Remember Arya's friend Hot Pie? In real life, actor Ben Hawkey went on to open a bakery in London called "You Know Nothing John Dough" that specialized in all the "Game of Thrones" baking you might hope for, which is to say he offered direwolf-shaped loaves of bread like the ones his character made for Arya on the show. They were available through a food delivery service and only cost $1
He’s a true man of the people, now that Varys is gone Hot Pie will have to become the true protector of the realm.
Show is already getting shit on for having women go crazy. If they add pregnancy to that people will lose their minds.
When the 80 minute episodes were announced people were like "fuck yeah, every episode is like it's own little movie" Now people are like "oh god another 80 minute episode"
It'll survive the way the Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Community threads do. Lots of "just started my rewatch. _________ is such a cunt" type posts
It’s actually impressive how many people I know who have loved this show for years who aren’t sad it’s gone and aren’t even really looking forward to tonight.
does anyone regularly use streams/downloads after the fact to watch? because i need somewhere to download it after it airs thx
