I’m confused. The reasoning to impeach? I think an acquittal that occurs because Mueller clams up or the evidence is weaker than thought could look bad, but outside of that, it is just a talking point that won’t move many.
Stagger Lee also doesn’t set the agenda for the DNC, he’s using a post on a message board to “both side” policies being implemented by the sitting president, talk about disingenuous bullshit.
Video Of Pelosi Manipulated To Make Her Sound Drunk Spreads Through Social Media talkingpointsmemo.com/news/p... going to be lots of fuckery during the campaign season Deepfakes are coming. We’re not ready. washingtonpost.com/opinio...
Inaction (failure of the house to impeach - or at the very least open that inquiry) will be massively helpful to the GOP and spun as “the Democrats don’t even think he did anything wrong.” The only hope for the rule of law and our democratic republic is if somebody makes a stand and says “this isn’t right.”
That Pelosi video is so dumb. They slowed it down to like 80%. How can one not hear the digital stretching?
The best part is I can play you a video of Trump at normal speed and he sounds drunk 80% of the time, even though we all know he's one of those weird straight-edge kids that doesn't drink.
Since espionage is a capital crime, I assume the government will have to promise not to seek the death penalty if they hope to extradite?
Secret memo made it clear that IRS had to turn over Trump's taxes, but Mnuchin continues to lie We don't answer to little people. from DK Spoiler On Tuesday evening, The Washington Post published a memo from the IRS that’s just a wee bit embarrassing for the Treasury Department’s claims that they didn’t have to turn over Donald Trump’s tax forms without Congress demonstrating a “legislative purpose.” According to an unnamed IRS official who reviewed the situation, turning over those forms “is mandatory, requiring the Secretary to disclose returns, and return information, requested by the tax-writing Chairs.” That’s left Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin scrambling to explain how everything he’s been saying for weeks isn’t a giant lie, especially when his own department had already informed him that the law “does not allow the Secretary to exercise discretion in disclosing the information provided.” As the Post article notes, the evaluation of the IRS official “directly contradicts” Mnuchin’s statements and leaves the treasury secretary absolutely no grounds on which to claim he isn’t required to hand over Trump’s information. On Wednesday morning, Mnuchin, who was speaking before the House Financial Services Committee, responded to a question from Democratic Rep. Jennifer Wexton by saying that he had only “looked at [the memo] literally on the way up here” and hadn’t had a chance to read it in full. Wexton: Did somebody make you aware that the memo states that the law does not require that the Ways and Means Committee, Finance chair, JCT chief of staff include a reason or purpose for the request? Mnuchin: Again, I haven’t … Again, let me just say, uh, the legal advice that we’ve relied upon … and again, I understand that there’s three branches of government and when it comes to constitutional issues there could be different interpretations. And that’s why there’s a third branch of government to, uh ... In other words, yes. Yes, he is aware. Mnuchin continued to dodge admitting that the memo said what it said. Wexton: Reclaiming my time. You are at least aware that the conclusion of that memo directly contradicts the conclusion that you’re relying upon. Mnuchin: No, I, uh, actually don’t believe that. And he claimed again that he had not “had time to review the memo in full.” But just as there’s a problem with how the memo completely undercuts Mnuchin’s always dubious legal claims, there’s also an issue with his timing. The memo he claims to have just seen “on the way up here” was actually written months ago. It was drafted in the fall, before Democrats took control of the House and before there was a formal request for Trump’s tax forms, but at a time when the IRS knew that a request was probably coming. Treasury officials, including Mnuchin, had to be aware of the memo and its findings weeks or months ago. But just last Friday, Mnuchin ignored a subpoena to produce Trump’s taxes. Just like he ignored the memo. Like he’s ignored the law.
Yes, he is on a rampage now. Pretty much mirroring any criticism of himself onto the person criticizing him. He pulled an extremely stable genius line again today.
And Instagram? And WhatsApp? And every other fucking thing they’ve bought? Probably not gonna happen.
He really is just an amazing communicator. Im jealous of that ability. He always knows how to add the perfect word or qualifier. Even the way he managed to tap dance around the negative implication of saying someone has a disability as a pejorative was masterful. I just can’t do that. Everything is tied up so neatly in a bow.
I don’t remember hearing about Putin personally attempting to set up a “back channel” w/ Trump transition team. Details in article...
It’s amazing the stuff that people missed because of the avalanche of bullshit. Didn’t this come out even before the election? I know it was really early on.
I think this was a big deal around the time that Trump met with Lavrov and told him about firing Comey.
The thing is, Satan is also a masterful and cunning speaker. That's why the moral majority knows that Trump was appointed by God. Only an evil man following Lucifer would talk all uppity like the elitist ButtGay does. And since we all know that Satan is a Marxist homo libtard, well...
I thought Flynn trying to set up some back channel (and later lying about it to Pence) was the scandal after the election
This attempt was after the election during the transition period. You may be thinking of Kushners attempt to set up a secure back channel to the Kremlin from a Russian embassy/consulate. I certainly don’t recall hearing anything like this previously...
Nonsense. It was just one big coincidence that the Trump Tower servers were pinging with only two entities: Russia's Alfa Bank and the Devos family's Spectrum Health, with Betsy's brother just so coincidentally being Erik Prince. Again, just one big ol' coincidence. Nothing more. Nothing at all shady about that. Nope. Nothing.
That’s a different secret attempt by Kushner to set up secret communications with the Kremlin at a Russian embassy/consulate to ensure US intel agencies couldn’t listen in... You know, more totally NBD behavior by a Trump family member that totally isn’t collusion.
