Almiron looked good this weekend. He was the catalyst for almost every one of Newcastle’s dangerous moments. If anything, his mates were not able to handle the slick set ups he provided to them. I still consider him a cunt though. That weird smile that’s constantly painted on his face, even when he is faking pain, which is often, gives me the creeps.
That was an odd game against West Ham. For most of the game it looked like the NU players made a concerted effort to not get the ball to Almiron. When he did get a touch it was due to a deflection or some other indirect method. Then, about the 70th they began including him and they became much more dangerous. He made great passes, counterbalanced with one awful pass. Is there some bad chemistry in the locker room?
Contract negotiations are going to be telling. Rafa has set his demands. If met he will sign. If not he walks and we will have to pray for the club to be sold. And relegation next year will be very in play.
I would be all for a boycott to hurt the value of the club and force a sale. He has to know that will happen if Rafa leaves.
Some would. If Ashley lets Rafa leave with his very reasonable demands unmet I do believe a large chunk of the fans would do more than just talk.
See what? Who it is or another possible let down. If it’s the latter we will take all disappointments if it could possibly mean Ashley is gone.
Ummmmm. Mike Ashley’s entire time as owner has been this. But the success has been his personal gain.
Yeah I’m not defending Mike Ashley. I just hope you guys end up with ownership that does it the right way like we did.
I'm hesitant to believe any of this talk until Rafa's future is known. Would be all for this move tho
