Are you starting to understand why everyone sans the city fans are pointing out the issues with their ownership?
......I said from the very start that I don't prefer this to be the group that's possibly buying the club
I think you're a witless whiny bitch, so at least the last part of your sentence is false. I am not even trying to make a joke.
Do you ever consider this might be from your own insecurity? I received a text message from a victim in this thread today applauding my wit and ability to hit people where it hurts. That’s why I’m effective as a poster.
That's amazing to keep playing him considering they've given up the 5th, 4th, and 3rd most goals in the league the last 3 seasons.
I became a Liverpool fan in college because at the time two of my great passions were for Fifa 2007 and maritime shipping.
I became a fan of Tottenham six or seven years ago because I'm a glutton for punishment and hate myself deep down.
Pretty sure I told this story in the arsenal thread, but a few months ago an older British lady in my office asked me why I chose Arsenal I hadn’t felt that personally attacked in years
Pretty sure the first European soccer match I watched was the 2006 Champions League Final between Arsenal and Barcelona. I was rooting for Arsenal because it was wild that a team was named Arsenal. Then I watched the 2006 World Cup and my roommate in college had Fifa. Now I'm handing out pamphlets about Bill Shankly and socialism to anyone who makes eye contact with me.
Chose Chelsea at first because of my first man crush, Gianfranco Zola. Stuck with them because of the cuntiness.
As long as someone a. commits a reasonable amount of time to watching a team and b. has self awareness, they can support whomever they feel like imo.
I chose Chelsea because they had the most socially irresponsible owner at the time and I wanted to support a club owned by someone who brought evil into this world. Spoiler Actually I’ve always loved the city of London and knew I wanted to pick a London based team. Fifa 05 was the first time I really got into fifa and Chelsea were my favorite team to play with and I just started rooting for them at that point. Drogba is still my favorite player ever.
I chose Spurs because of my Yid roots and my desire to be perpetually heartbroken in the most agonizing ways possible.
chose united cause my British soccer trainer in 5th grade told us to go watch them play, so now I still do despite Ashley young making my eyes bleed
#Fulham captured my attention when they were moving up from the 2nd division to the 1st division to the EPL in the late '90's. I really liked Louis Saha, plus Eddie Lewis was playing for them, so I played a few dynasties with them in Championship Manager and made them my English team. When they started signing other Americans (especially Brian McBride) I was pretty much a fan for life. It has been an up and down but fun ride. Visiting Craven Cottage a few times and seeing how devoted those people are to the club was awesome. Also I'm better than the rest of you for not choosing one of the "big" clubs like you front runners
I like Pitt not Penn State I support Spurs strictly for that sweet sweet peak mid 00s to Poche era transfer madness
Wife and her family got me into EPL. Her mom is English and her pops is a Yank who lived in North London for a spell in the 80’s. He fell in love with Spurs and I started watching them with him and fell in love too. Spurs were also the natural choice with me being a glutton for punishment and heartbreak and all.
