Also, as dumb as Zach Smith is, he’s going after very convenient targets who are unpopular with the OSU fan base. Warriner as OC ruined a 2015 offense that had an NFL QB (Cardale Jones), RB (Ezekiel Elliott), three WRs (Michael Thomas, Braxton Miller, and Jalen Marshall), a TE (Jeff Heureman, and two first round OL (Taylor Decker and Billy Price). Tom Herman had a public falling out with Meyer. There are idiots among the OSU fan base who believe the Board of Trustees was not going to suspend Meyer until OSU President Michael Drake insisted upon it. Zach’s hitting all the high points here.

Whatever happened was inevitable as soon as Herman got a job good enough to compete with Urban for recruits.
As soon as Meyer was suspended immediately, I don’t think anyone rational suspected Meyer was going to skate without a suspension of some kind unless the report by the independent law firm was a glowing testament to Meyer. It wasn’t and he was suspended. I had hoped he would be back for TCU, but understood that public perception might not be great if he only got Oregon State and Rutgers.

This is the weekend of the Memorial Tournament. This means that 75% of Dublin, Ohio residents will not work today, will start drinking at lunch, and won’t stop until Sunday night. Zach Smith grew up in Dublin, attended high school there, and currently lives there. This weekend provides really great odds he gets smashed out of his mind and does something incredibly stupid.
Last year, Rivals Buckeye Grove correspondent Kirk Barton was arrested and tasered at the Bogey Inn during the Memorial. I have high hopes for Zach.

Indianola is a narrow, two lane street with cars parked on both sides of the street and a 25 miles speed limit. I’ve always appreciated how incredibly fucked up simmy had to be to flip a car while driving down Indianola.
