I've had three five-figure payouts in my life and hedged all three. My guys went 2-1 so hedging cost me a used Mazda Miata I guess I regret nothing
Had a $200 10 teamer MLB on a Sunday iirc in about 2004 that would have paid $108k split between a buddy and I. We put it in at about 4am when liquored up. Took mostly dogs. Hit the first 9. Yanks-Sox was final game that night. We had the Yankees. We only had $4k in the account to hedge. Yankees led going to 9th, Mo blew the save and the Yankees lost. I still havent gotten over it.
That is just fucking insane. I don’t even know what a good analogy would be. Someone in MLB batting over .600 for an entire season?
and he was doubled up by the end of jeapordy. and down by 20K 3 clues into double jeopardy. so forget what i said
Just watched and let me say: watching at work with no commercials or risk of spoilers is the bee's knees
funny that just before the first taped episode after the announcement comes right after the announcement that the treatment is going well.
they need to expand the board and let james, ken, brad and big rog all compete at the same time in the final for the next tournament of champions electric television
How far do you think he actually makes it? Pat Mcafee just interviewed him , he stated they are currently done taping for the season.
can’t imagine he breaks the jennings record. he plays the game the perfect way but the downside is it opens him up to an upset i think. whiff on a double jeopardy and it could happen. almost did last week before the carpathians answer
If anyone wants to watch the full episode: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7a 5k5f remove the space
the mere appearance of a spoiler bracket itt is in and of itself a spoiler and a harbinger of bad news
Spoiler there was no way he was going to beat kens win record. His style of play wouldn’t be able to last 70+ games, at some point he was going to miss a DD or final and get caught with a big bet
what the fuck? its one thing for a random dipshit on twitter to ruin things but one of the largest papers in the country doing it is insane. fuck them
Spoiler he was 60k from the money record. It was expected he'd break it today. And he definitely could've won the games record, he was dominant
Spoiler I bet jeopardy wanted them to. The people that stopped watching because they were bored with James will come back to watch him lose. Get one more rating bump out of it
Spoiler who the fuck would stop watching because of james? he's electric and has gained a considerable amount of buzz for the show. also why would they want him going for the money record to be spoiled?
Spoiler librarian was quick on the button. Getting both DD’s in double Jeopardy was a back breaker for James. Finally I felt like most of the answers were easier than normal today. Great run by James. He entertained me.
Spoiler i know of quite a few people that got bored with him steam rolling everyone and haven’t been watching after the first week or 2 of James run and honestly, I can get it. Most of his games were runaways from pretty much the get go and he doesn’t have much of a personality to get people to keep watching. I mean he is no Austin. This “spoiler” will get all those types of people to tune in tonight though
Spoiler some purists hate how they jump from category to category now but I thought that was just a way to avoid being overtly racist when they just hated Arthur Chu. Nope guess they really are that lame
Can’t argue that Spoiler i don’t think it is about the play style but I have heard people get all pissy over that too. The people I’m talking about all said they just got bored watching the same one dude answer all the questions over and over and over again
That’s actually the matchup with James I’d most like to see. There would be some real gamesmanship between the 2
i am sure more hardcore fans can correct me about someone else doing it but chu was the first guy i remember jumping around the board. james just took that strategy and perfected it. chu was my favorite contestant before james
