There is no possible way to mismanage a game more than BFV. Absolute incompetence all around. New map is ok. I guess. But if the community was active there wouldn't be a reason to trim the game modes. Fuck it. Get rid of Conquest so all the noobs leave while you're at it.
Didn't play domination. FL was fun. I liked the tactical element of it. But regardless of that they're cutting it because the player base is dwindling. Not because it's less popular. They completely fucked this shit up and now theyre trying to polish it.
Just following the trend of AAA beta releases. I was excited for the live service model, but they’re obviously clueless as how to make it work. We’ll know a lot more about this games future after this week.
Well, we definitely will not be paying for new maps now so they at least have that part down a few years late. Also, not sure how old you guys are but the whole micro transactions thing blows my mind. I have seen many people who spent like $9 on that one dude to play with him.
New theater should be out in September. I'm glad I waited til April to buy the game, it's not stale for me yet.
Gameplay is definitely this games strength. If they turn it around it could become a great battlefield title by winter. Their sights are just set too wide. I still don’t know what the hell they're thinking with this 5v5 mode. If it’s tiny 3 lane maps with a tdm feel then I’m out on it. But I could also see where it could be set up more open like Firestorm where the majority of contact is from medium range and you need your team to create any flanking moves.
If they continue with DICE LA making the new content going forward, things look promising. BF4 maps were great.
The community rep said something on Twitter about another map trailer coming soon. The pacific stuff was data mined
How dumb is this franchise. Seriously. EA apologizes after 'Battlefield V' miscast a real-life antifascist It's also denying that its German characters are Nazis. Jon Fingas, 7h ago EA still has trouble with Battlefield V, albeit not in the way you might have expected. The company is changing the name of one of its purchasable Elite characters, Wilhelm Franke, after Vice pointed out that he shared the name of a real resistance fighter in Nazi Germany. The company "certainly didn't mean any disrespect" to the real Franke, and was "in the process" of the name switch. The company didn't help matters, though, by simultaneously denying that Franke is a Nazi. He's just "a German soldier" similar to other characters in the game, a spokesperson said, maintaining that the company is "not making any political statements" relating to World War II. That's a dubious claim, though. The character is not only wearing an outfit that suggests Nazi affiliation, but is shown in a trailer (below) acting with a cruelty associated with the far-right regime. While it's true that some German veterans of the war stressed they weren't Nazis, this character isn't exactly a reluctant participant. The statement continues an odd trend of game developers insisting their games are apolitical when the content is anything but. EA previously made similar statements about a tank crew in BFV's first add-on, while Sledgehammer's Michael Condry insisted that German troops in Call of Duty: WWII weren't Nazis. Outside of WWII games, Ubisoft insisted that The Division 2and Far Cry 5 weren't political despite connections to real-world issues. David Cage denied clear parallels in Detroit: Become Human between androids and the struggle against racial discrimination. Companies seem to want the excitement of politically charged narratives, but don't want to acknowledge this lest they alienate some buyers.
I'm more outraged that people have the nerve to be outraged at Nazis in a World War 2 game. Have some balls and stick to your guns DICE, "yes the guy dressed like a Gestapo commander wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask is a Nazi."
Their PR are a joke. I still get a chuckle out of the guy who told everyone not to buy the game if they didn’t like the direction they took. A week later was fired.
I think that was the dude who said he could look his daughter in the eye when he got home, because they included female soldiers in the game.
Is shooting a bomber down with a tank something to be proud of? Is that a common occurrence, or can I shout it from the mountain tops?
Apparently the latest update is the most bug filled one yet. People are saying players torsos are invisible, can’t access any specializations, audio bugs and more. Oh but they accidentally released vehicle customization and made it purchasable with company coin. They were removed within an hour and will return with a battlefield coin price tag.
Oof. I just started playing again last week on XB1. Had fun and was kinda looking forward to the patch.
My least favorite bug is getting stuck in that bleeding out mode indefinitely. Having to wait however long it takes for a medic to come and revive you.
I complain but I actually like a lot of the changes made. The frostbite engine is either a bitch to work with or dice has lost its touch. 100% believe this game will take shape come chapter 5. If I made it through the bf4 launch I can be patient enough this time around.
Did they cut the balls off the g1-5. I kept getting deep dicked by revolvers every encounter. New SC map is terrible and they should feel terrible for making it. Fuck DICE.
How do you make these are are you jackfrags? Also been about a month since I played. What gun is that?
Today is the first day I can really feel the steps backwards the gameplay has taken. So much stuttering and rubber banding, invisible people everywhere. How is it that BF1 is graphically and mechanically superior while being years older? I still have fun with the game, but it's crazy how it has taken steps back since I bought in April. Every patch breaks something else.
It’s almost unplayable on Xbox. Haven’t been able to join conquest at all and the game crashes frequently in other modes.
Haven't had any crashes, but these fucking invisible people are driving me crazy. Got killed by Predator around 25 times last night.
