they pretty much always do their biggest episode in the middle of the season also, I loved the Teddy KGB character, but it was time for it to go. I liked the way they wrote him off the show.
Axe is generally not a good guy but he really brought it out taking down that kid. I know that's his general MO but it was still a little hard to take.
God damn that was great. Can't wait for the opportunity to drop that phrase in conversation some day.

"As mercurial as Frank Sinatra with a cold." Mercurial: "(of a person) subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind." "Frank Sinatra Has a Cold" is a profile of Frank Sinatra written by Gay Talese for the April 1966 issue of Esquire.[1] The article is one of the most famous pieces of magazine journalism ever written and is often considered not only the greatest profile of Frank Sinatra[2] but one of the greatest celebrity profiles ever written.[3][4][5] The profile is one of the seminal works of New Journalism and is still widely read, discussed and studied.[6][7] In the 70th anniversary issue of Esquire in October 2003, the editors declared the piece the "Best Story Esquire Ever Published".[1][8] Vanity Fair called it "the greatest literary-nonfiction story of the 20th century".[4] Sinatra with a cold is Picasso without paint, Ferrari without fuel—only worse. For the common cold robs Sinatra of that uninsurable jewel, his voice, cutting into the core of his confidence, and it affects not only his own psyche but also seems to cause a kind of psychosomatic nasal drip within dozens of people who work for him, drink with him, love him, depend on him for their own welfare and stability. A Sinatra with a cold can, in a small way, send vibrations through the entertainment industry and beyond as surely as a President of the United States, suddenly sick, can shake the national economy.[1]
taylor taking on a whole bunch of billionaires rn. think they have too much dip on their chip. chuck not taking that sweetheart deal from connerty really has me wondering what the deal is with this blockchain voting pilot project. I love Bonnie and Rebecca.
The thing where Taylor goes from having a heart of gold to activating their Axelrod-light super powers is getting kind of played out. Maybe it's just the role, but it doesn't help that imo the actor playing Taylor can't really hang on the level of the rest of the cast. I was hoping to see a little Bonnie ass too but oh well
Spiros is a hysterical character. The doctors coat made me chuckle, when he had the stethoscope underneath I audibly laughed. All that said, they stole that line from a season 1 episode of Silicon Valley, and TJ Miller delivered it 10x better. I’m not sure what Chuck is up to. His dogging Wendy, repeatedly, is not in the norm of the character, even if revealing their sex life as a ploy to win the AG was. I’ve felt ever since that he revealed that she was in the path to divorce, I’m not sure how they come back from where there relationship is right now. They are showing us Chuck setting up Connerty but they are definitely playing the cards way to loose if that’s supposed to be some big twist. Axe needs a better foe than Taylor Mason. If they want to do hedge fund v hedge fund, that’s fine, but it needs to be way more technical which would cost casual viewers. I’m not sure how to evolve off what the show is now but I had higher hopes for Chuck and Axe in theory “partners in crime”. ETA: I still enjoy it, I just am not sure how they evolve the show to stay fresh.
Oh hey. Personally I think the Rhoades are orchestrating the whole thing to get Connerty and Jeffcoat. This seems too dumb for them to leave a paper trail.
Seems most plausible. Was the plan to tell Kate and have her run to Jeffcoat? She in on it or just a stooge?
I think she's in on it, between her loyalty to justice and her thirst for moving up the ladder, she'll do whatever it takes.
Interested to see whatever maneuvering Chuck has been doing off camera. I thought the twist was going to come when Connerty broke in and cracked the safe. I really liked how Axe was completely pissed that Cantu had made a very sensible deal because it cost him blood from Taylor. He’s gone mad king to end the season.
History says yes. Axe crushed that dude's business merely for giving Axe's money back Maybe the season will end with Axe and Wendy doing one of their joint counseling sessions while they examine the ashes of their old relationships, since Wendy and Chuck aren't doing so hot right now either
In a just world they would finish the show next season with Axe and Chuck going out guns blazing at each other. At a minimum somebody needs to get “killed off” imo.
