100%, I think the real question is how much we get, so we get release date and price? If so, how soon, what’s that look like, etc.
My guess is all the studios they’ve acquired over the years begin to pay off and they announce release titles for the new console from those studios
The usual procedure is a bit of a tease the year before the actual reveal, right? So we'll get some like 30 second video at the end of the Xbox conference with maybe a name, some big number tech specs that no one really understands and a "release date" of Q4 2020. Then at next year's E3, or at a completely separate event just a bit ahead of E3, you'll get the full reveal with the definite name, price, tech specs people actually understand (storage format and size for example) and a real release date in October or November 2020.
Yeah, I never had a ton of fun on F13. We'd get 5-6 people to play that we knew but then we'd still need 2-3 people we didn't and they could ruin a game. Plus, the last time my friends and I played it you had to do "looking for group" posts to fill your games. The matchmaking or whatever didn't work at all. DBD I can always enjoy. If I'm by myself I just play some killer. Rarely I'll solo queue survivor. But even if I have just 1 other friend on it's plenty of fun queuing up survive with friends. Hopefully the devs can figure out how to tweak Ghostface because right now, on the public test build on PC, he's awful. His mori is fantastic though if another survivor is willing to join in for the lulz...
I think survival chances are pretty similar, though getting everyone out is a lot more common in Dead by Daylight. I think they are both tons of fun. I like the maps and variation within the maps better in F13. I like that Dead by Daylight has less luck associated with it -- F13 is so dependent on finding things to hook up, and if someone shitty gets it, that's bad for everyone. The 2 games are very, very similar, and I don't see how it's possible to like one but not the other.
For awhile we'd play F13 and our entire goal was just to kill Jason every time. They've nerfed counselors and buffed Jason since then but with a good team it used to be pretty easy to beat the shit out of Jason. I remember a particularly memorable game where we had 4 guys literally chasing Jason around constantly stunning him with bats until he finally rage quit
I am fuckin loving DxD. We had an awesome run last night sorta wrecking people. Have not had any toxic run ins either. Everyone has been pretty nice. My biggest annoyance is lag. Lot of killers I’ve played have lagged all over the screen and I’ve lost a few games cause of hard lag issues. Also bic whats your gamer tag if you want to run w some n00bz
You've gotta keep an eye on the ping meter in the bottom right when getting into a killer's lobby. Look for spikes and I'd advise against staying in any lobby where the ping is above 150ms. Gamertag is bic. If I'm alone I'd definitely join up and play with any of you guys. I assume you're ranks are fairly high right now since you're just starting so it could be a little mean of me to run new killers around but it's also a lot of fun. I hope they consider adding this since they're adding more support for survive with friends. When the game came out SWF wasn't a thing. The game was essentially designed with the intention of players having to make potentially life or death decisions based on limited information. But people wanted to play with their friends and the devs obliged. Right now you have to recreate your SWF group after every game but they're going to be changing that at some point in the future so that you can re-queue with your friends after games. Adding support like that makes me think we might get proximity chat at some point.
We did a 5 stack last night, and one of the guys when playing killer tried to look up the most op build. He wasn’t very good, but the game lasted 30 minutes, we got like only 2 generators (they were fucking impossible), and he killed us all. This is the build: The skill check moves around and then was only the size of a great skill check half the game. Hated it.
Yeah, that's a pretty disgusting build. I actually like playing Doctor but a lot of people will just disconnect when they see it because of people who run builds like that. And then an offering to play on The Game map where your static field/terror radius affects almost the entire map because it's 2 floors is just... bleh. I do the first 2 perks there (Distressing and Unnerving Presence) but I don't do Overcharge (3rd perk from left). I have run Huntress' Lullaby (4th perk from left) from time to time but I don't like how survivors get a notification that the killer has Huntress' before it's even in effect. The second you get a skillcheck on a gen you're notified that the killer has Huntress' which is dumb because it has no effect on the skillchecks until the killer hooks someone.
Umm I’m actually a rank 12 and my mom says I’m OP so if I decide to carry you I’ll friend you. Thanks much. Good note on the ping. Didn’t even notice that. Would save Gin Buckets ears a lot of my yelling about lag.
Good thing is the ping shouldn't be a huge issue for too much longer with dedicated servers coming. The NA servers will be in northern California and Ohio so being in Ohio, I'm really looking forward to that.
Found this thread while searching for a general XBox thread and didn't want to clog up the Witcher 3 thread, but does anyone have any suggestions for a couple good local co-op games (couch co-op) that don't require XBox Live? Wu was kind enough to suggest Overcooked 1 & 2 and Cuphead but in a quick review, neither of those look like what I am going for. The last one I went with was Borderlands, which was fantastic. Something along those lines would be nice or Gears of War or something along those lines.
Battlefield V is on EA Access now. I'm in a never ending search for other TMBers to play Battlefield with.
Downloaded Brawlhalla last night. Free game that's basically just Super Smash Bros. shit was mad fun between a few friends. There's also a free golf game that looks pretty solid too.
Are y’all talking about the one on gamepass and that was on games with gold? I putt like Michael J Fox on that, it’s so fucking hard to putt. Also wish there was a progression system for your golfer but all you can do is change club sets that are more difficult to play with but more precise.
Huge deal loophole going on right now. For $1 you can upgrade your gold to gamepass ultimate. That converts all your prepaid gold into ultimate. I bought and loaded 2 years of gold and then paid the $1 and now I have gold and gamepass for console and pc through 2021 for 90 bucks.
new xbox seems to be just more horsepower + cloud integration so you can play xbox-quality games remotely works for me I guess
Possible 120 FPS, I’m sold. Edit: depending on price. If it’s about equal to building a PC, I’d just go that route.
