That match went about how you'd expect, both could have been seriously hurt. They have to stop putting them in matches.
Damn, Taker is just the 7th person to beat Goldberg. I guessed the other 6 and got 4 right before looking it up. Spoiler: Spoiler in case you want to guess other 6 Brock, Triple H, Scott Steiner, Booker T, Bret Hart and Kevin Nash I guessed Hogan and Scott Hall instead of Booker and Steiner
Can you imagine WWF in 1999 putting Bruno and Superstar Billy Graham out there in a match? They used to mock WCW for Hogan and Flair, both of whom were younger than Taker and Goldberg and who could do more in the ring.
I didn't have Scott Steiner. I had Hogan on the list. I'm shocked Hogan never got over Goldberg. Maybe more shocked Steiner did.
If they keep bringing Undertaker out for matches he's going to paralyze someone in the ring for real.
Match times Universal Title (11 minutes) WWE Title (10 minutes) Orton v HHH (25 minutes) Triple H booking his match for longer than both title matches combined....and again Shane winning. I think the problem may be the whole extended McMahon family and not just Vince. Those two things have become staples lately
Maybe Haitch just really loves to wrestle and misses it, so when he gets out there he wants to make it count. I didn't watch it, but the reddit live thread seemed pretty positive on the match. As far as the tombstone, was that on Taker or Goldberg? I thought the person receiving is supposed to hang on too. He's been safely doing that forever.
Cant say for sure but it looked like Goldberg was already too low when Undertaker had him upside down. I don't think Taker could hold him up well
I'd say stop bringing taker out personally, there's no way he needs money but if they are yeah they should probably do away with the move. It's too risky and you dont want his legacy to be paralyzing some superstar wrestler.
Just let him make special appearances and do like a move or something. But he can't do full matches and they're dumb for thinking he could. He's looked horrible the last 3 he did.
He should have put over Bray like 3 years ago and the WWE could have rode that character as the new Taker for so long. I dont understand how they've fucked up Wyatt so much. Now you have Black, and he'll never reach his potential either but could be the same situation.
So, my non-WWE shill brothers. A sheep needs some help. I'm subbed to NJPW currently mainly cause I wanted to see how Moxley would perform post-WWE, but fell in love with the product and LiJ as a faction in general. I want to watch this year's G1, never seen a G1 from start to finish. Any tips?!?! I'm pumped for Dominion, but plan to rock the NJPW sub for a couple months for sure. WWE main roster is trash and I'm tired of bashing it, just want to move on and enjoy good rasslin'.
I'd imagine fsugrad99 would be able to best get you up to speed, I had an NJPW account for a while last year but only watched the big shows
I'm in the underground. NJPW World sub should cover you. I think all shows will have English commentary. Kevin Kelley is pretty good, they'll have a bit of a rotation for the #2 guy. I like Rocky Romero personally. Opener will be in Dallas, which will be fun even if tickets aren't moving. I think Mark Cuban got them a deal, so it may not be THAT big of a deal. I expect the field to be announced shortly after Dominion. Got a feeling Mox is in. Most shows start at 2-3 a.m. eastern. So....yeah. For you pirates out there, there's this: http://watchwrestling.in/
I work from home so have infinite time to catch up on shit I don't want to wake up for. I do plan on waking up tomorrow @ 3am for Dominion, but maybe the g1 not so much. But should be able to keep up with the show during my work days.
In other news, the PURSUIT channel fucked up and played a rerun of Ipmact last night. Weeks after skipping the Main Event to play commercials for fucking knives.
IIRC Goldberg had to kayfabe shattering jump and flip into position on that just for Taker to get him up for it.
It’s a shame because the show is solid now. They have had some really good PPVs. But Dixie and crew killed it to the point it can’t find any traction with TV.
