Imagine knowing who killed your brother and thinking there would be no way the police can do a thing. One of the few things that would drive me to murder.
Just starting the third episode. Watched because a friend compared it to the wire. Not getting that feel exactly but really enjoying the series so far.
It's definitely not the same show, but I think the comparison is not a bad one. It focuses less on the police involvement, but it similarly focuses a lot on the gang-related and adjacent aspects of daily life in a big city.
OG gonna talk dude into joining his crew then they'll take out his boss. He's definitely Jason's dad but you don't need to be sherlock holmes to figure that shit out
Papa is funny af. Not a huge fan of Jason, he did play Easy E in straight outta compton but his story isn't great.
“This is my widdiling music.” “Why you think I have been stretching out my glutes? I can’t have my sciatic nerve acting up again.” “Yo Poppa, where you learn to step like that? You should know by now, I am good at everything. I’m a renaissance man.” “If we don’t do the play, how my star goin shine?” “Thanks for lunch Mr. Regg.” #PoppaSays
This lawyer is fucking ruthless. Great series, will probably get cancelled because nobody is paying attention.
Yeah this is great. Between this, Shameless and Billions, Showtime has been pumping out some solid stuff.
That KC stuff was fucked up. Like that the cop is gonna look out for Brandon, really like how they've developed the cop. No Papa or Jake in that episode sucked, the relationship between the 3 is one of the better parts of the show.
Just started this show a week ago, already on season two. Love it, thank you guys for bringing this to my attention
I laughed so hard at Papa and Kevin’s reaction when Jake asked if Lake MI was an ocean. Then it hits you that places like that a kid may not get out of a 5ish square mile area for several years into his life.
This show is so good at showing how hard it would be to get out of a place like this, makes me sad and also more understanding of some things One step forwards two steps back
Child Protective Services. At least he's not dead. Good finale. Ready for some Brandon vs Otis Perry next season.
Reggie is dead, right? He was being carried off, but got lit up obviously. I hate the cliffhangers with next season opening up with him in the ICU still living. This show doesn’t seem like the type to do that tho...
Brandon's character was one of a kind in the show but it will survive fine. Hope the increases the chances Reggie makes it
Apparently, he had repeated inappropriate encounters with Tiffany Boone. She subsequently asked out of her contract and won’t be back on for next season either. That’s an entire story line gone.
She did and of course sided with the star until a few other women stepped up. Don't think either will hurt the show much. Just hope the ratings are good enough to continue.
