Although, apparently they showed some different footage to some media that actually looked a lot better.
I'm no expert, but it does say Alpha game footage. Early days. But it can go to shit, see: Watch Dogs.
That’s what I was saying. Everyone who’s spent time with it is hyping it up. I mean personally (i realize I’m in the minority) I thought what they showed look great. I could tell right away it has nuanced combat system and thatshits right up my alley. Traversal looks fun. AI looked hit or miss for sure and the graphics outside of character models were meh but this is alpha footage. Also, West and Zampella are pretty good at this video game thing and respawn is cooking rn. I’m excited for this game
The skill level of the gameplay itself left a good bit to be desired I’m cautiously optimistic but don’t plan on preordering
Yeah this is what I was trying to explain to Odin and CUtigers earlier. I felt like whoever was playing it didn’t showcase it well. This also 3 hours into the game so it’s early on and it showcases a specific build. I’m gonna assume there’s skill trees (based on my ocd going mad at the skill points being left unspent) and that will mean more diverse gameplay.
The person they had playing definitely didn't look great. Usually a gameplay demo is a little more polished than that.
The 2k for $3 is funny since NBA live was $3 a month or so ago and I bought it then too since I didn't have a basketball game and for $3 is was just for the hell of it. Might as well replace it with 2k.
Ah so that's what's giving you souls vibes. It seems clunky and not very precise. Like you said, though, that could be completely on the guy who clearly was terrible at the game that they chose to test it. I'll withhold judgement until I see some other gameplay.
I had no idea it was available on ps4. Played it a lot on pc. Hope that maybe I can transfer some of my chest unlocks over to this? Doubt it.
Odin just said he would buy the new Microsoft console if it's called the Nexbox. His luck, it will be called just that
So, 2 things: Did PS4 not go to E3 because they didn't have enough to show off? Secondly, The Outer Worlds looks awesome and I hope it scratches my Fallout itch.
They've shown everything they have for this gen, and they aren't ready to show anything for next gen yet. They say they aren't going to do E3 at all anymore.
That's what they say. It's expensive for these companies to attend E3. Nintendo hasn't gone for years.
They already did the same announcement as what Microsoft just did, they just did it a month or two ago in an article. Same stuff...improved framerate, graphics, ray tracing, etc. People are slowly pulling out of E3 and doing their own things.
Also, if that clip of Clemson was from Madden and not NCAA Football 20 then that's some cruel shit to put in a trailer
Yeah, I got really excited for a second and then remembered they had that thing where you played through the CFB playoff in the Madden career mode.
The Xbox specs sounded legit. That should mean good things for the next PlayStation. The two are usually pretty comparable on that front.
I started watching their conference but once they basically confirmed we weren't seeing Starfield or TES6 I quit watching.
is this an especially weak year for game announcements because people are saving announcements/titles for 2020 and the new consoles?
I would imagine so. There also seem to be fewer and fewer games announced at E3 every single year. Devs are announcing elsewhere it seems.
Lol more than likely. Also another Watch Dogs. But rumor is they have some big something up their sleeve.
Thoughts on Xbox presser? I think they did a great job, tons of games, new studio, Keanu, etc. But I don't think it was world-changing, nor is anyone saying they've won the next-gen already, even in a time where hyperbole is almost all anyone does in the media. That said, I'm actually considering looking into the Games Pass PC thing, there are probably a few games in their collection I will want to play, but I can't imagine a scenario where I will ever buy an Xbox , so this may be the way to go.
Cyberpunk (not new) Halo (not new) Gears (not new) Outer Worlds (not new) Minecraft dungeons Bleeding edge Elden ring Pso 2 Psychonauts 2 And 55 indie games or dlc for already released games
It was a show. The Keanu moment was really cool. But im not a volume guy so going through 60 games doesn't do it for me. Might as well go through the app store. There isn't a shortage of games out there. 2 weird things 1) the reception for Phil Spencer was weird. Like he got a rockstar ovation. Not sure why. 2) it's funny to think back why it's called xbox one and why no one talks about it anymore. Remember it was your "one machine for everything" and they went overboard on tv...even at gaming conferences like E3. Just such a different story from the vision of the console.
If there is one thing I’m absolutely certain of after watching some vids it’s that both Bethesda and Microsoft had paid hype in the audience
