They will no doubt milk it for content but yes if I was in charge no way i am voluntarily allowing this hit piece to happen.
Real Sports has been around for decades, right? They aren't listening to Bill about what stories to do. She has become incredibly well-known and does a bunch of content after starting as an intern. I'm sure the event bothered her, but she can easily put it in the past because she is now successful and that is partly due to the platform she was given. Doesn't excuse the incident. I'm sure she wants people to stop talking about just as much as Dave.

Those aren't even close to the same thing. The fat people came in talking about how they were fat. Ev literally calls himself Big Ev. Dave has never (publicly) stated to anyone that they might get taken off "content" for their fast depreciating looks besides Ria.

And the comment to Ria was live on air. It was 100% content. It was certainly dumb and offensive content, but it was content nonetheless.
Not just that. There are plenty of people who enjoy a lot of Barstool content and just roll their eyes at the overanalysis of a braintrash reality show comedy network.
Pissed at myself for waiting so long to get Sirius. I held off because I usually can’t listen to talk when I’m working but its way easier as background listening than podcasts or audio books. BB, cousins, yak & BSR when Dave is on are all fantastic.
Large & Willie are really good but Francis puts it over the top when on. Him, BigCat & fuckin KB are my favorites on the air. On the other end of the spectrum is CCK. What an abomination & waste of 2 hours.
Anything involving KFC is the worst And yes KB is awesome. Never heard of him until he was in Vegas. His blogs compared to people like Nate make it seem like they’re not even doing the same thing
I can’t believe the Ria/Dave thing is still being talked about. On one hand Dave was being unprofessional, but was live on air and didn’t want to look defeated. On the other hand Ria is arguing with her boss. I’m not sure of the structure with the organization, but I’m assuming Dave still has the power to fire someone. LMK if that’s incorrect.
i missed all that but he basically said if she kept partying that she wouldn't look good at age 30, right? She has that look now, unlike say Fran. Just seems like a typical asshole dave comment but maybe he added more to it.
That's a good article. I do think the content they drive after every one of these negative events is starting to get old. There comes a point where you don't have to address every single article from a blue check mark with 3,000 followers. The die hard stoolies eat it up but I would argue it drives a lot of people away.
