Just a thought, but I wonder if we could implement an unwritten rule type thing that when a new episode begins, someone on that particular shows thread posts something like "**************Episode 3**************" just to signify the start of a new episode. for example, I just started watching Chernobyl last night and made it through episode 3, now I would love to start reading through everyone's comments on the Chernobyl thread, but after a few I start getting worried I am going to stumble upon an inadvertent spoiler by reading too far. as the new episodes come out, if someone could post something like the suggestion above, it would help users like myself who are behind, but still like to read the other posters thoughts up to the same point I have reached in the show, while I am at work looking forward to watching more episodes this evening. the above suggestion would serve as a stop point for those like me who are a few episodes behind thanks, and tell me to fuck off if you like
Was totally in that same boat, but I’m not sure how that would work in a thread. Even if folks did that, if somebody posts something about ****episode 3**** that sparks a bunch of conversation, there’s just no way that folks will realistically place that at the top of every single reply on the subject.
I'm not talking about everyone doing it in every post, I'm just saying if you are one of the guys sitting there watching the new episode 'live' or first run (not on dvr) it would be cool if you pop open the thread and (notice that nobody else had done it already) make a single post that says ******episode 3 ****** Then everyone who is one or a few episodes behind and your just reading along through the thread, you see that post and know to stop right there until after you have watched that episode because anything posted after that moment might be discussing something you havent watched
