True - though none of us thought that it did. Made for a very entertaining 30 minutes as you hit from the drop zone.
Lots of low scores out there this morning. Hope the conditions hold for the day. Hate when conditions change mid round and fuck half the field.
Kisner just had one of the worst meltdowns I've ever seen. Four and a half foot birdie put and he made double.
Fox bringing in Miller for 10 minutes. He mentions that he once made two holes in one in a row on 12. Dude's still got it!
Bjerregaard was showing a 13 on the 18th but it has since been changed to an 11; shot by shot still doesn’t really make any sense though because it goes from tee shot into the ocean to hitting his 4th when he re-tees. Also says he may have taken a drop or unplayable from the right rough when he found dry land so who knows
That bastard will probably be playing Cypress later this weekend. With the courses he gets to play I don’t think I could ever bring myself to feel bad about his golf career lol.
Yeah, his connections are pretty deep. His Instagram stories have been great this week with all the practice round content
My yard is steep as fuck and I’m thinking about buying a Flymo, please advise. What’s the best way to go about acquiring one?
Would be very interested in the takes on this place. My in-laws have family we need to see in El Paso in the next year and I want to do some EP, Marfa, Big Bend and Lajitas to cap it off.
It's amazing, completely isolated though. Played in for the first time last November. Here's a par 3 with a 90'+ drop to the green. That's the Rio Grande and Mexico in the background.
Weather is supposed to be nice but the greens are much firmer today than yesterday and that trend will likely continue. -6 was low round yesterday, -4 today. Who cares if someone does get it to -12? Course is obviously playing pretty tough with only 35 guys under par. Course setup has been great so far
I don't care personally. Had just heard how tough it was going to be and so far I think it's been pretty fair.
I think the scores thus far do hit the "tough but fair" test. They've had a tiny amount of rain on and off today and the greens are already firm, they can crank the sub-air to dry them out if they choose or let it slowly ramp up to Sunday
The fucking "baba booey" tards are out in full force at Pebble. God dammit I hate douches who yell at the course more than anything.
Although I hate the screamers, I'm still enjoying the shit out of this. Top 3 course ever, stacked leaderboard, GMac has found some magic. Only thing that could make it better is Big Cat going low tomorrow to set up an amazing Sunday.
I haven't seen a single shot from Fowler. I get he's not having a good day but he's still -1. I don't get not showing him on the broadcast.
Coverage has been very sub-par this evening. Louis is playing with Pat Reed and Vegas and we haven't seen a single shot of theirs
We've basically gotten features group coverage plus Woodland and Louis. Few random shots from others mixed in.
I don't mind Gary Woodland but the nice thing is that we don't have to worry about Gary Woodland running away with this over the weekend and taking the air out of tourney. He doesn't have that type of play in him.
Reed snapping his club helps make up for the disappointment I felt when I realized it was a sweater vest and not him rocking an untucked shirt
