I live right next door to that crane accident and heard it come down. I took this picture not 40 yards from my apartment.
Damn, someone who commented on the video said he believed the crane swing locks were engaged and probably should have been turned off. If they had, the crane could have swung in the wind like a weather vane and wouldn't have been stationary against the speed of winds they had yesterday. Shitty result.
Tornado SW of Indy. Debris signature after hitting freedom, in Cycling with old tornado just south of Spencer (beneath the little red box/cursor) and developing tornado SE of the old one New tornado with debris signature
It's also a formal part of first semester sophomore year....weed out all those who don't want to draw dicks
Finally went tornado warned. Weirdly tracking southeast, if it shifts at all I may be catching the edge
NWS canceled the tornado warning, moments later the hook started to re-form and chasers have shown a funnel trying to drop. Interesting times here
Destroyed a day care (luckily it was Sunday and no one was there). I had no idea it even hit because I live on the other side of town.
True story: I remember one tornado in 18 years of growing up in WV. I wouldn't have known what to do either.
