Hit a Pedal Tavern after. Quick pit stop by the wing mural for a few hundred IG pics then off to dinner.
oh gosh, telling someone from out of town to go to a popular place. GASP! this whole thread is telling them to go to Martin's and the Ryman, arguably two of the most popular entities in the entire city. sorry I am not telling him to take his wife and mom to Big Al's or Sweet 16th. That's where I'd go if I was back in Nashville, but generally people wanna go to the hyper popular spots. Fido, Marche, etc..
I have no idea what the tavern is but Crepeswithasmile I will find you and slap you if you do a pedal tavern.
nothing to worry about there's no way in hell I'm paying to pedal myself around while i drink. I'll walk and make fun of the dumbasses that do.
There are literally 4 Martin's in Nashville and the downtown one has seemingly thousands of customers a day. The line for the downtown Martin's goes out the door. So unless you tell people to go upstairs, you might as well be sending them to biscuit love
https://nashville.eater.com/2019/5/31/18647372/chopper-east-nashville-first-look a robot themed tiki-bar from the guy from barista parlor. Sounds.... just awful
I don't go out of my way to defend you, but you get more shit than you deserve on this board. This opinion is why you catch shit
Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Belle Meade Plantation would be a good way to kill a couple hours when you aren't trying to drink Monell's in Germantown has a 4.8 star rating on Google via 2,525 Google reviews, fwiw. Just saying
Yeah there are few things I dislike more than having to spend 40 minutes in the presence of people who might be different from me while eating some of the best food in the south
well, we never did make it to nashville. We got a call at around 2 a.m. saturday morning that my step daughter was in an ATV accident and in the ER. She's ok, just cut/bruised up pretty bad, but by the time we got out of the ER we just wanted to go home and go to bed. I think we are going to try again in a couple of weeks.
So for the first time in my life, I was scared being in public. The BFF and I were leaving Printer's Alley around 1am on Sunday. I was walking down Third toward Broadway on the opposite side of Piranha's. There are groups of people everywhere outside of the bar. You could tell something wasn't right. Then you could see a fight break out. Okay I thought I'm over here. They are over there. Let's keep moving. The boy that was getting punched got away. Some more mouthing was going on. One of the guys followed him with other people. That's when dude flashed his piece stuck in his pants. All the while there is still commotion going on outside the bar. We finally stood by whatever that random concrete thing was and just waited on the dude fighting and boy with the gun to get lost on Broadway. Then as we finally cross Broadway to get to our car, we saw a cop tackle a dude running. Not 100% if it was the dude that was getting beat on or another drunk idiot. I was glad to get the fuck out of there.
Sorry to hear that man. Glad shes ok though. My bff's nephew was just in a really bad jet ski accident in NC too. Damn kids and their off road vehicle things.
Speaking of downtown. I've got two tickets to tomorrow's show at the Ryman for sale. Marty Stuart's late night jam thing with Dierks Bently, Sheryl Crow, Steve Miller and Tyler Childers. Probably not exactly everyone in this thread's favorite line up but if you know anyone looking let me know. It's sold out except floor seats on stub hub going for like $200 and up a piece. Main floor, sec 8, row Q. May be obstructed view?? My buddy can't go and the bff is in St Louis so I just want to get what I paid hopefully.
One of my neighbors started turning some kind of power equipment off and on at 5:15 this morning. That's cause for justifiable homicide right?
to my knowledge, Piranha's is a shady shit show. At that time of night, most of 2nd avenue is, honestly.
I pay $190 a month for the 5th Ave of the Arts Garage (attached to 505) but they have daily event pricing for $40 today.
I work downtown one day a week. Company pays it. I don't care, but I didn't want to explain an $80 charge. I paid $20 across from the Hermitage Hotel on 6th.
Bro country has thrown a major kink in that. Took me 30 min to get from my office to music row. It’s a 2 mile drive
And you’re a channel 2 neck beard too.... at least something is bringing you to a better local news channel
When did I ever tell you I watched channel 2? I dont watch the news. I'm just smart enough to follow her on Twitter like the creep I am.
Lindsay Nance went to Lipscomb and was a cheerleader there. I met her a handful of times via some HCA mutual friends. BIGASSFAKETITTIES but tries to come off all religious and church of christy. It’s pretty funny. If you watch her on the news you can tell she spends no less than 3 hours getting ready daily. All in all, a cool chick though, just the atypical southern “churchy” type that’s hypocritical as fuck.
Haha, don’t get me wrong, I’m not being that guy that’s saying he wouldn’t. I would fuck her silly. She’s just one of those types that you can tell gets annoying as shit quickly. Not hard to look at though.
I suggest everyone start watching Nashville Vlogs on YouTube for endless entertainment and what not to do when here
Absolute trash music + lowest common denominator fans + rain could not get more of a hard pass from me
Snail Mail @ Exit/In 7/23 PUP @ Cannery Ballroom 9/23 Oh Sees @ Mercy Lounge 10/24 Jay Som @ The High Watt 11/2 Chastity Belt @ The High Watt 11/20 imagine not planning on going to any of those shows Snail Mail and Oh Sees in particular
Recently shuttered essential East Nashville dive Edgefield Sports Bar and Grill has new owners — and will open in ‘early fall’ with a light refresh and a new name, according to a press release. Snagging the keys to the much missed East side treasure? That’d be Michael McIlroy, Sam Ross and Brandon Bramhall - the award-winning New York bar owners who launched Attaboy Nashville in 2017. Plans to reopen at 921 Woodland Street are to reopen the watering hole in early fall, and the trio promises they’ll deviate from their renowned cocktail style in order to stay true to the tradition of the beloved dive bar. They promise a no-frills venue that’ll serve cold beer, good music, and great spots, just as locals have been accustomed to for the last 25 years. With the reopening, they say Nashville can expect food served seven days from lunch until ‘very late’, friendly staff, pool tables and games as a staple. This is the fourth bar for McIlroy and Ross – after Attaboy, rated among the top five cocktail bars in the world, its offshoot Attaboy Nashville and Diamond Reef in Brooklyn. “Edgefield was proudly nothing fancy, loved for its pool tables, clean toilets and generous shots of liquor. That’s what we loved every time we came to the bar. Why ruin that?” McIlroy says. Ross added, “It will be all beer, whiskey, sports and good times.”
We are bringing Paradise Park Trailer Resort back to The Band Box for a two-night celebration on July 19 & 20! This affair will feature a fireworks show (July 19),live music from The Otherside (July 20), and specialty jerseys worn by the team (both nights). Plus, what would a tribute to Paradise Park be without pitchers of Natty Light and a classic dinner of grilled cheese and tater tots.
the Weimar Beer Belly I just noticed the Tin Dog Tavern has closed. I saw them ripping up the porch a week ago or so. Didn't connect the dots until today.
