I was thinking that's the case for both American and United. But it also depends on the type of ticket booked. When I've booked award tickets through United on international flights a bag is always included. I was speaking specifically for paid domestic
doing my CIP signup. for business name, I put my own name or make up a business name? Also, I plan to actually start my own Law firm in the near future, can I just use that info even though I haven't filed for incorporation yet?
Nice benefit for the Citi AA card then. This is in the Chase terms for United Explorer "To receive first standard checked bag free, the primary Cardmember must include their MileagePlus®number in their reservation and use their UnitedSM Explorer Card to purchase their ticket(s)" while the Citi terms don't include that last line about using the card to purchase the ticket
Use your first & last name for business name, list it as a sole proprietorship Don’t use your own law firm name until you’re open for business because they may ask for supporting docs for it that you won’t have.
Is this your first one? If so for the first one they sometimes make you verify your address of the business. It is not a big deal and you can just fax them like a bill or something with your name and the address. Absolutely not. First name last name for everything including the business name. Sole proprietorship. Don't get cute with it.
For Delta you don't have to use your card. The free bags/priority check in is tied to your Delta number not the card
I know you didn't really do that but I still might slap you in the face with a fish anyway just for the halibut
Yes. Not sure about having 0 years as the business and also the type of business but my guess is it should be fine.
I know this has been posted a ton, but can’t find the specific instructions. Looking to do second CIP, did SSN and sole proprietor for the 1st. Do I do EIN for the second and use the same information for the rest of the application?
If you don't want to go through the trouble of getting an EIN you can literally apply for CIP2 with the exact same information as you did the CIP1
got a 20k retention offer on my Amex Plat with 3k spend in 3 months or $200 with same spend requirement points going to get me home from two weeks in japan in delta one so that'll be fun
Anyone have issues booking with Chase UR, specifically things to do, and either the system timing out or showing availability when it appears there isn't availability?
I still have an older SW card that I keep trying to get rid of each year but they keep waiving the fee and giving me $1 to keep it. I wouldn't mind it so much but finding SW flights out of my area sucks unless I want to drive 2.5-3 hrs to ATL.
It's great for a staging flight from Charlotte. Lots of international stuff from Houston, Chicago, Baltimore
Always way more expensive, price and points, then other airlines (plus I currently have status with AA) out of CLT. Hell, most of the time its cheaper from GSP over CLT.
Applied for 2nd CIP, got the “need a little more time” response. Should I immediately call reconsideration or let it ride? I’m in no rush, but not sure if one is more likely to lead to a better result
I was trying to book a room in Mexico last December and every time I tried to confirm the booking, it would tell me all rooms were sold out. So I don't think your experience is unique. I gave Chase a call to see if they could make it work, they had the same issue and all they could say is that what initially shows up for availability doesn't guarantee anything.
What do you want them to do? They're a 3rd party booker. If it's not available to book they can't just override the hotel or something lol
I should have added it is clearly available if I book directly with the company, so it could be the UR system doesn't refresh timely. I had a separate issue when I booked something, it was cancelled and had no idea until we showed up. I got my points back, but it took four months and having to DM Chase's Twitter account. Just a frustrating experience thus far and I have a shitload of points.
I understood that, but there seemed to be no concern that their website was displaying false information.
It happens all the time across lots of third party websites. Sometimes the syncs just don't update properly. It's happened to me on kayak a shit load
It's also possible that the destination pulled the last couple of rooms back and made them only bookable in house when x amount remain. They want you going through them
