Man City sign Bolton youngster Ogwuru for £100k https://www.goal.com/en/news/man-ci...er-ogwuru-for-100k/17x27k2edbvmv1r4uwhlwgyo8d
If you believe the papers (which you shouldn't) Joao Cancelo, Rodri and Harry Maguire are close to deals.
Craig Bellamy joins Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/craig-bellamy-joins-vincent-kompany-at-anderlecht-r3j8vfkm7 simon davies is going as well
next year is david's last season with city :( only sergio is left from the old guard and he'll be gone fairly soon too
I'm OK with David having a proper farewell tour. Love him, but he was inconsistent at best last year. The timing seems to be right on this and it should work out well for both sides.
Its going to happen soon. His number has already been given away at his old club. Thought I remember reading a few weeks ago his buyout wasnt active until today or something which makes today the first day they can do it
Ordered a bunch of new Puma gear today and it gave me the City itch, so I decided to extend a Paris vacation for a week and head up to London to catch the Community Shield next month. That should be fun.
£5.3 million buy back on Angelino makes him a no brainer at that price. When Mendy inevitably gets hurt again, him and Zinchenko provide depth there. Guess they may look at another CB, a RB IF Danilo leaves and a few guys on the way out and that should be the end of the summer business. I don't buy the Isco stuff right now
I don’t necessarily expect Angelino to stay and it could very well be a Morata situation. He’s got suitors and we have a buyback cheaper than he will go for so makes sense to bring him back and possibly sell for a decent chunk more
I'm not so sure, very well could but with Mendy injury history and Delph likely on the way out it would not shock me if all 3 are kept. Zinchenko can play other areas on the field as well. Either way though, buying Angelino back was a no brainer
I guess I missed Sane getting hurt. The fact he even started makes me think he isnt as close to gone as the media says
Got a wrap around his knee, but has to be a good sign that Sane is back out there and walking around on his own
Honestly dont watch too much Italian soccer, so it's hard for me to really compare Cancelo to Walker. If the move happens, do we think he takes over the first team RB duties
Walker sucked last year and plays CB for England so I could see him moving inside but Cancelo is (and should be) our starting RB if we indeed sign him no matter what happens with Walker. Cancelo’s last few years have been like Walker’s the years leading up to signing him. Except Cancelo is a couple years younger than when we bought Walker
is Zinchenko going to start at LB the first gameweek(s) and/or what is the timeline for Mendy's return?
Don’t think anyone knows for sure about Mendy. He recently said “soon” Even when healthy he has trouble staying out of Pep’s dog house. Expecting Zinchenko will start the season as 1st choice LB and then will be interested to see as Mendy gets to 100% and Angelino gets settled what happens
Scott Carson was interesting, didn't see that. Also see club confirmed Sane ACL is damaged and needs surgery.
