Battery life on my original X is starting to go to shit. Thinking this is the cycle I get a battery replacement, sit this round out, and wait for some ground breaking shit in a couple years. The odds Apple has anything head and shoulders better than the original X in September is pretty slim right?
What’s the consensus on the wireless charging? I don’t have an issue plugging in but my wife an I have the latest phones and thinking we should give it a try. I also forgot my earbuds on my work trip and figured it gives me a chance to buy AirPods and I have the same dilemma wireless or not.
Either my left AirPod is busted or my left ear is going deaf. I only hear volume out of it if I twist the pod up a bit so it’s facing forward instead of down.
Wireless charging is great, so easy just to lay it down on the pad/stand. For AirPods I don’t think it’s a big deal since I only need to charge the case every couple weeks.
The lack of annoying cables is great. You can tuck wireless charging power cords behind whatever they sit on. Con is the limited use while charging.
Odd request, but could someone search for the app Storm Sim in the Apple app store and tell me if it's still buyable Should have a cover of a lighting bolt or something like that
Damn, thanks Was hoping it was still active for my little cousin. Needs a white noise maker for sleep.
Depends who you ask I guess. According to Nelson, very nice. Have heard others just say nice. But, long-requested has been pretty universal.
Pre-ordered my $6000 cheese grater/macPro. Also made sure to get a monitor stand for a slim $1000 and monitor for $4000.
What websites do you visit to find out about iOS app news, such as like neat new apps and stuff like that?
Macstories.net is a good one to follow. sixcolors.com and daringfireball.net are good for general Apple news.
It does the little buzz if it's 50 past the hour and I haven't hit my move stand goal for the hour. But mostly I just check it all the time when I work out and shit.
Mine only does this for stand goal. How can I change it to move goal? I always get annoyed on days where I've been lazy it drops a "a brisk 55 min walk will reach your move goal" at around 10:55pm.
sorry I meant stand goal. don't think there even is an hourly move goal. and lol I've never had that happen. I've got the notification before but don't think it's ever late in the day like that.
I don’t think it’s as functional or that I use it as much as I would like, but I am still really happy with it.
I have the 3 and love it as well. It will send a “check your rings” if my move and exercise rings are behind for the day. It’s helped me track my workouts and became healthy again.
Same for me. It’s the only reason I still have the Apple Watch. I absolutely love the fitness aspect of it. What is everyone’s move ring set at? I have mine set at a modest 790 calories.
I’ve had it at 700, then 800, and now it’s on 900. I try to surpass 1000 everyday though. I always wonder how accurate the heart rate and calories burned stuff is.
The heart rate monitor is, or at least what I’ve seen, but sometimes when I’m doing yard work after an hour killing myself I look and it says “7 minutes of exercise”, it gets a little infuriating. Yeah 1000 is my goal everyday as well.
I have it and underutilize pretty much every feature. I read texts and check the time. It just kind of exists for me. The incoming notifications are super handy.
Have the 4 and love it. Love the fitness. Notifications. I can see the current outside temp at a glance. Wear daily
Let me ask, the move goal is like active calories right? So if your move goal is 1000, that's 1,000 on top of metabolic, so like 2500-3000 total, depending. Do I understand that correctly? When I look at the Activity app on my phone, yesterday was 483 active calories, but 2419 total.
Dog got ahold of my airpods off the table while sleeping; case in constructed pretty damn well, has teeth marks but didn't puncture through at all.
AirPods never fell out while using them until yesterday. Mowed the lawn and then was rinsing off the tractor. AirPod fell right into a puddle. Still works.
Downloaded in iPadOS public beta today. Love how in landscape mode the widgets can be available all the time from the home screen. Haven't really done much with the iPad to get a good feel for anything though.
Got the beta ios13 Nice updates but nothing too crazy. The CarPlay update was much needed and it’s better but still so much untapped potential
