Just to chime in on the watch, I do like it for helping keep accountability on calories burned and general activeness bit I think it vastly overestimates both resting and active calories.
I’m 6’4” and pretty lean right now (~185) and my resting calories are like 2200 every day. On a normal lift+30 minute cardio day I burn another 1000 or so according to the app. These seem to be pretty high based on other fitness trackers and formulas I’ve used in the past.
Anyone have any suggestions on aftermarket aux cord to lightening adapters? I lost the Apple one and I have tried one or two other ones in the past that never really worked.
I washed my airpods, the pods still worked but the case didn't. I ordered a new case and put the washed pods in, the case stopped working. Had to buy a whole new set of everything. Be careful.
He is starting a design company and Apple is their first client so he will still have input on things. Will be interesting to watch for sure. Won’t know how this goes for a while though since anything we see in the next few years has probably already been finalized on the design front.
Got the AirPods when I was traveling because I left my headphones at home. Powerbeats pro was sold out everywhere. Get to O’Hare and there was a shop that had one pair. So pissed. Really wanted them more.
I can get an Apple "discount" because I work at a university. The 12" Macbook is showing up as $1249. Good lord, how much are they normally?
New Carplay layout on iOS 13 is awesome. I’m running the beta and that update alone is worth it for me. https://www.theverge.com/2019/6/3/18650923/apple-carplay-ios-13-features-siri-design-wwdc-2019
Logitech MX Master is my favorite I have mission control and space switching mapped to the thumb button.
I was looking at the MX Anywhere 2 but will compare them. Looking for something mostly to use for WFH.
Lift portion on strength training option, cardio portion on whatever type of cardio I do that day, usually a stationary bike.
If the lift part is under HIT training then it's possible to come close. That and/or if your active heart rate is a lot higher than resting rate. I stick with other on the stock workout watch app, even with that and cardio it's an increase of around 800 ish calories during the workout period
how do you get/use wireless CarPlay? I've always used a cord. edit: looks like your vehicle has to support it. guessing the old 2016 civic doesn't have that. yes I drive a Civic which is basically a BMW or Benz.
With cookies and shit who knows what price you're seeing after you've googled something a few times. That was my logic
AppleTV bros, I'm going to be cutting the cord in the next few days. What does AppleTV do that Roku/Firestick can't? Is it worth the extra money?
Pretty sure the ESPN app does picture in picture or something like that on Apple TV but not the other hardware. And of course Airplay
It was stereo dependent. Mine creates a wifi network and a Bluetooth network. So when you turn it on it connects to the Bluetooth which tells the phone to hop on the WiFi. However it doesn’t use the WiFi for Internet. It still uses the cell signal. It uses the WiFi to send data like google maps or Spotify. I love the stereo. It’s the Alpine ILX-107.
Spaces. Basically different desktops. I have command + arrow left/right mapped to switch sideways between them
4k and 1080p. I'll be watching something and then I'll get the spinning wheel of buffering. I can still use the remote and stuff but nothing will load. I have to reboot it in order to regain functionality.
