Warm day ending up being a very wet evening. Just unusually heavy rain, pretty high winds, pebble hail. Line runs all the way to MN from here in CO.
Picture kind of sucks but pretty good looking thunderstorm in Portland today. Rarely get them in the Portland metro, sat out on the deck with beer and watched the show.
Pretty much. And a good chance of more rain tonight. Everything should be at flood stage in a day or two, again.
Nvm found it Windy was what I was thinking of Sounds like the gulf could get hit soon and we are here at st George island, should be fun to watch
Windy's good. Here's another. https://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=-84.49,32.43,1487
I'm actually in Lafayette, and we're projected to get about 20+ inches of rain so I don't know which is worse actually.... my folks have a place in New Orleans that we're at quite often, but it's 2nd floor in the CBD. I think South Louisiana as a whole is just fucked
First moderate outlook for my area of the year today. I live on the western side of the moderate area. Local weather guy made it sound like it might be more of an MCS/damaging wind scenario this morning. Now it appears others feel a growing threat of pretty strong tornadoes. Y'all have any thoughts on the outlook today? Our family had outdoor plans around 6pm tonight...I'm curious of the action will be east of us by then.
It’s hit or miss with the conversation, but check out talkweather.com. If they get going on that site they have a lot of good info. I think Futureman goes there a lot.
I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a tornado in the middle of the storm that’s now south of Grantsburg. It had a nasty hook.
Oh shit, that's actually impressive The dewpoints are higher right now in southern MN than in southern LA
