Yep they abruptly shut down production after episode 10, and apparently never finished the season out. It filmed here, so it was in the news alot.
Wow so it must be terrible if they just up and pulled the plug during production. Weird considering the CW has done a great job with Arrow and the Flash
It's actually really good. They pulled the plug quickly because there was an error with the tax breaks for the show and it ended up costing pretty much double what they budgeted.
Loved the original Swamp Thing movies when I was a kid. They’re cheesy but back then I thought they were awesome
There are conflicting story, but this was floated early on https://comicbook.com/dc/2019/06/06...anceled-explained-dc-universe-north-carolina/
A TV series was always the way to go with this adaptation. Love that it's gonna be the most expensive DC series but hate seeing David Goyer involved. Hollywood needs to move on from people like him and Simon Kinberg.
Just the sheer amount of quotes from that movie that bled into mainstream everyday use is staggering "some men just want to watch the world burn" "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" "why so serious" etc
imagine if WB has released The Batman in 2016 Wonder Woman in 2017 Man of Steel 2 in 2018 (with Supes dying) Aquaman in 2019 Flash in 2019 Justice League in 2020
And they'll still be paste eating morons crying at their 60% RT scores wondering why people shit on them for not respecting the source material.
I thought man this would have been a good Batman live action movie then I remembered WB and just appreciated how good DCUA is at adapting comics.
They’re so good at picking bits and pieces of different comic continuities to form a great combination in one film. Hush was probably my favorite Batman DCAU film since Under The Red Hood.
