Really happy with our 690, but admittedly we have a smaller single-story with hardwood throughout. iRobot Roomba 690 Robot Vacuum-Wi-Fi Connectivity, Works with Alexa, Good for Pet Hair, Carpets, Hard Floors, Self-Charging
I figured it would come yesterday, but apparently they took me as saying I need it BY 1700 Friday, that I wanted to reschedule it to Friday I saw a topic on their site that says the TBD tracking numbers are usually the uber-type deliveries, and those are used when the nearby fulfillment centers are providing the goods. Still, 3 days for something to arrive that's probably 20 minutes away from me. Can't imagine how the service will be from these personal delivery guys come Prime Day.
Yeah they have their prefix for their own shipping. Are you in a small metro or far (you say 20 mins) from a distribution center or hub.... It could be that the item is not local, but will come through the local AMZ delivery crews which could explain AMZ delivery and longer fulfilment window. Here there are so many, some are in branded vehicles, some are in personal and the other day, I received an AMZ delivery from a driver using a rental fleet van.
I'm very impressed with their operations obv. I love doing no rush shipping for the $1 credit for movie rentals and music (often with a 6-8 day quote for delivery) but then Amazon still delivers in 2-3 days.
I live in a small, rural town, but there are 2 amazon facilities within 20 miles. With it offering 1 day delivery for free, I figured it was coming from one of those places. My only real gripe is the lack of being able to track the package. I really don't care to see that I'm stop 4 on his route, but I would like to see where it originates from, and if it's been checked into another facility. (Which usually Amazon does provide). This is really the first delivery issue I've had with them. I did get a $10 credit, woot woot.
I use the Ring system. The monthly monitoring as well as upfront costs are significantly lower than the other options I looked at.
I'm going to see what ends up on sale and likely go with it. I like that Nest has continual monitoring not just when activated by motion but they all seem similar.
Nest is a premium product in the space. It’s a lot of small features that allow them to justify their price increase, we just didn’t see value in them. The $200 motion-sensor-hallway-light-smoke/CO2-monitor? No thanks.
Not really the thread but for those looking for something Dell sells (which is a lot - I just replaced my work laptop, dock, monitor and bought myself a camera. They also sell tvs, consoles, printers, etc), look at their inventory on Rakuten.com, which is like a smaller Amazon. I think their name used to be buy.com - they are the kit sponsor of Barcelona and acquired/operate ebates. I think some of these things were legitimate pricing mistakes. It's not uncommon to get 10-20% back as store credit regularly, but sometimes Dell (and other sellers) will run a promo of 10-15% back on their inventory which stacks, so you might see 25-35% back as Rakuten credit. On a $1300 camera (which was priced the same at Amazon, BB, B&H, etc) it's impossible to beat. Absolutely unsustainable so check it out while they still do this.
You’re like my grandma who thinks i can update her password for her when she forgets it. My guess is there was no tracking since it was at the FC 20 miles from his house. It probably feel through the cracks at the delivery station or was forgotten by one of the drivers. Should be there the next day usually.
Thanks for the Ts&Ps everyone, it did arrive a little bit ago, with picture proof. Think the guy/girl was using an old flip phone to take said photo.
I’m working with a 850 sq ft single floor home, all hard wood with a few rugs. Think a simple one should work?
Speaking of toddlers, are they a Roomba hazard? Was thinking getting one for my son/dil, but they have a 2yo and a 4yo.
We can take the ass eating back to the sec b-ball thread, but there will be not ass eating here. Just me ruining your prime day.
