The guy who owned it was a notorious skeezeball. He slowly let the place go from dive to shit hole so people stopped going.
They’re gonna fuck this up most certainly. I’m glad Cobra went back to being a proper smoking dive bar.
That’s a solid lineup: Gary’s Clark Jr Lake Street Dive St Paul Amanda Shires Todd Snider Grace Potter
I know you would whip my ass, but putting my future ex wife Grace Potter on the bottom of your list will catch these hands. Spoiler At least you put her on the list. Please don't hurt me.
I'm actually into this line-up for once. It's typically such a massive cluster that I try to avoid it. OAR, Todd Snider, Steve Earle, and Yatch Rock Revue are all dope. I'm praying that like 2-3 of these artists are on one night though. If you've never heard Todd Snider, he's the man. Plays most of his concerts barefoot. Big pothead. Unbelievable writer. Saw him at the Ryman and he was excellent. Here is one of my favorites:
Lol yikes. I know they are used by mainly tourists in Nashville, but in Denver they are heavily used by the ppl who live here to get from a place/home to a bus or rail stop. So Nashville is banning these things because they’ve fucked up with other public transit and bike lanes
Overreaction to the dude getting killed if you ask me. Wasn't the scooter company's fault he turned left off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic. They should have disabled them after a certain hour or some other way to stop people going to and from bars at night on them. Banning them is stupid.
Plus the plan to let like two companies come back is just going to limit competition and let them jack the prices up.
Banning bikes and crosswalks because of other deaths? Nashville never fails to embarrass itself cuz they can’t think progressively
I highly, highly doubt they’re going to completely go away. I think/hope Briley is just using this as a bargaining chip
The view of the city as you top the hill on Clarksville Pike right before Trinity Ln. Amazing. And it's short lived as you go back down.
Wish there was still at SatCo downtown so I didn’t have to pay out the ass at Bakersfield before a Preds game for a meh scene...
Ah gotcha, thanks anyways Any other Nashville peeps recommend that hotel? I usually stay at the Hyatt Place downtown but thought this might be a good alternative. Also could stay at the Hilton but not sure if it is worth it. Looking to come Wed-Sun of this week
My wife and I are highly considering Nashville for our anniversary in October. Somehow neither of us have ever been to Nashville despite living in SC. I'll start looking through the thread at recommendations and such. I have a bunch of Chase points and some Hyatt points so we're probably looking at staying at the Holston House unless that is highly not recommended for some reason. Any advice is appreciated especially advice relevant to the timing of our trip. We'll likely be there between Oct 16-20th.
Great time to visit. Give the Thompson hotel a look. I've recommended it and everyone has really liked it
Holston House - pretty decent overall actually. Usually not a fan of the boutique hotels but was impressed
I'm gonna do this too. It just makes the most sense. I have two free Hyatt nights and points from Hyatt alone to just about cover all four nights.
You have status with them or just through the CC? Free breakfast at their “TENN” restaurant if you are a globalist and that place is awesome
I've just got Discoverist status. I don't travel for work or anything just for anniversary and special occasions which is rare with toddlers these days ha.
Who will be the next good mayor, and why? I want a pro cop, pro business growth\tax benefits, homeless plan, and some form of mass transit idea and I am willing to pay a higher property tax for any of the above. Who should I be rooting for?
Too be fair, I just put what all the posters told me to in the OP. Although yes, locals will laugh at anyone on a pedal tavern.
Any of you have any experience with BMW of Nashville in Brentwood? If so, please share good or bad and @ me. Considering buying a used car from them but have heard zero about them.
