I’m no doctor, but I tore my acl in college. Had several grade 2 sprains on both ankles in high-school. To this day, my ankles are never 100% and at risk of being sprained all the time. My knee is stronger than before the injury. The worst part about an acl is it raises your chances of tearing the other one from using your 1 leg for a couple of weeks and you can overcompensate during recovery (knock on wood, I avoided this and had a great physical recovery therapist). But, if it’s an ankle he likely will be back on the field a lot faster. Really just depends.
Now let our seemingly endless amount of doctors come in and tell me all the reasons I’m wrong. (Because that was 11 years ago and thinks have changed and maybe I had a wacko Doctor)
I don't think anyone on earth subscribes to Dean for the content. it's more along the lines of why people go to the circus.
From a friend “Bunch of Reed rumors out there on Wisc boards. Reading through my PM's and adding in some new info today from the Badgers side, it seems inevitable that Reed will flip to N sooner or later. At the latest, once Neb shows some success on the field. Apparently he was all N except for his father who ran interference. Not sure if something has actually transpired in the last 7 days or not, but it seems he'll be N in due time.”
I just watched his film and it’s solid. He looks a little raw out there (false steps, wide angles), but his hands are so active and he plays violent and with emotion... big fan
Okay so Hutmacher is definitely a brute strength type of guy right now. I really think he could play Guard for us but it sounds like he will stay on the defensive side of the ball. He does seem more natural putting more weight on his hand and playing defense. Has really good hands and pad level, he does lean a little bit on offense. He has a hell of a motor on defense and he is really active and aware of screens and pulls. If I were to give my offense a scouting report on how to beat him I would say to roll the pocket away from him and run stretch all day. It seems to me he slims down for wrestling and I honestly like him at that weight more than I do when he plays football, he seems a little heavy in the limited football film i’ve seen.
Even if he picks Notre Dame, if we come out on fire this season, I can see a definite switch before the early signing period. Especially if we can get him to visit during a big win. I feel like family is pushing Notre Dame
That dude is a treasure. I'd be surprised if Milton isn't a GA at Neb in 2ish years depending on his comeback plans.
To lose an in state kid because of a position choice would be fuckin stupid imo. Take him as a wide receiver and show him the light when he gets here if that truly is the problem.
I don't have a solid understanding of the admin side of the athletic department, so explain to me why this is a good thing? Legit interested in this.
I’d be more worried if Betts wasn’t already N and we have legit chances to pull Manning and probably Dom Watt. From the 247 article Watts makes it sound like the ND coaches essentially coddled him and Frost and company don’t necessarily do that.
Lol If frost doesn’t understand that you have to coddle the top recruits soon, you guys will continue to be in trouble. This is not ucf. And why are you guys acting like he is just going to notre dame by default? Sucks to say but if you guys had nd’s record the last two seasons and Nd had yours he would have committed to you a while ago. From what I read, he really loved the school. He preferred your coaches and staying home but he loved the school and Nd team. But what the fuck do I know
I am gonna be very very interested to see how he does this coming season when he doesn’t have Hickman drawing attention and Burke’s rush offense shouldn’t be as dominant. Also very much unconcerned by losing him
I disagree, we may not get the top 100 talent all the time, but the staff has a certain type of player they want. Typically those are the ones not wanting coddled. I’m not saying Watts was or wasn’t, but I think our style of play will show what kind of kids we have/recruit
I honestly don’t think the record the past two years had anything to do with it imo. He’d have every opportunity to come in and play right away, and play with his former teammates and friends.
We finished with one of the best recruiting classes we've ever had since the rivals era started for the 2019 class. Frost is doing just fine.
Honestly think he liked Notre Dame more than Nebraska. Not every in state kid is going to stay home, ND is a great opportunity, so is Nebraska. Ya win some, you lose some
To be honest, I was really talking out of my ass right there. I have no idea what he does. But I think you guys will be way better soon. I understand you guys playing this as a minimal loss but our staff is pretty good at this. If they wanted him so bad he might be very good. But maybe not a great fit for Nebraska who knows
I think we'd like him but he always seemed like a dude who was enamored with other opportunities. He's a good player, to be sure.
He would’ve been a good fit, and we need an X/Z type receiver, likely a juco for this class. So it doesn’t really hurt that much, but his potential is there
Agreed, like I said if Betts wasn’t already N then there would some concern. I like Watts, he’s damn good, and he is going to get a great opportunity at ND.
I am really looking forward to Nebraska being a top team again, I think frost will get you there. Not easy in this situation but he should have at least 5 years to turn this around. I bet he does it faster.
don't want anyone stupid enough to think playing for Brian Kelly is a good idea and hope he has a shitty career.
