Guess how many years it's been since Congress last used its constitutional power to fine or prison over defiance of a subpoena? 84 years. In the meantime, there have been several subpoena disputes. It's always gone to criminal or civil courts. The protocol isn't just to fine or jail after a subpoena denial. If that were the case, then Holder would have been imprisoned back in 2012. Instead, he was held in contempt for rejecting the subpoena and the courts ultimately ruled that he must turn over documents, which he did. None of that meant that the value of the subpoena was nothing. As stated, I think that Acosta will turn down the written offer to testify, that he will be subpoenaed, that he will defy the subpoena, and that this will go to court. We'll see what the court decides and whether the House Democrats will be placed in a position to do something that hasn't been done in 84 years. Acosta-Epstein is a very personal matter to Trump, so I expect this ordeal to go to the mattresses.
Not able to watch Acosta's press conference, but I'm reading that he has yet to call on a female reporter for questions. Shocker.
How noble of Acosta. He shielded the victims from knowledge about Epstein's sweetheart deal because he was concerned about them. What a great guy!
apparently that wasn't actually a direct quote and she just got it from a stupid david frum tweet also her mom could actually try to, ya know, impeach the motherfucker
Upon further review, it was definitely Chris Tucker the actor/comedian. Apologies all around, except to Chris Tucker.
Is there a credible list of people who flew to his island or is what we know based on speculation and rumor?
There are all sorts of people who are confirmed and almost none of it is based on speculation or rumor. I do not know if there's a master list
There are episodes on him but there are other sources as well. His friends had been documented for years both before and after he got in trouble.
There's a good list here... http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019...rolodex-famous-friends-and-acquaintances.html
In his black book he has tons of names, mostly of people no one would know. Lists of Hotels. Massage, with a bunch of names, for various cities. Then this: Security Scotland Yard Fucking seriously? Can you just hire Scotland Yard??
It’s really the easiest money to make in America right now. Just be a hot take conservative who fires up evangelicals and then drops a book of your scorchingest takes/ gaslight conspiracies about the libs.
Reminder: Julie K. Brown (tweet's author) has been lead investigating journalist for Miami Herald's Epstein exposé.
Would love to know how much fighting there has been between the FBI and the CIA over Epstein. FBI has probably wanted to nail his ass to the wall all along. CIA probably wanted to retain (and even help) him as an asset.
googled the story and top hits daily wire, fox news, and something called Law & Order i'd be surprised if it wasn't true more than I'd be surprised if it was but going to hold off on taking this evidence in
The day that Fox News for the first time grills regular guest and Trump apologist Alan Dershowitz about what Virginia Roberts alleged in court is the day that I'll start listening to anything they say about Bill Clinton and Epstein.
It struck me as a weird question to ask of him, like they'd just found out about it the day before and didn't realize he had been asked it recently
