Expensive, for sure. Don't think they'd trade Pache or Waters, and maybe Anderson, but anyone else would have to be on the table you'd presume. Depends on who else is bidding and what.
With the blue Jays being kind of far away it seems like (to me) that a number of prospects farther away could be appealing Again, dependent on what others offer
I’m well aware, I already checked. I was at the only game last year in Milwaukee we won also. So I’m rooting for another win.
If we offered Ender and Kyle Wright for Stroman do you think we could slide someone like Alex Jackson or Demeritte in there to finish it? Would you do it?
It would surprise me if Toronto accepted that, but I'd absolutely do that. With that said, if/when Atlanta trades Ender, they need to be pretty aggressive in finding a quality CF backup.
If what you’re implying were to happen, having Ender or not won’t mean shit. Further, Pache is already a first division defensive center fielder.
It's more just insurance if god forbid there was an injury to Ron. I dunno how ready or not they consider Pache to be right now with the bat.
If Ron gets hurt call it a day anyways iyam. We don't have the firepower without him and ender is certainly not changing that
No doubt, that wasn't an argument to keep Ender by any means. Just saying if it were me, I'd go after a high quality backup just to be safe. Personal preference and such.
The fear here is Pache’s development if advanced too quickly. I have no doubts that he’d outperform Ender in this doomsday scenario you’ve cooked up.
These are my three only untouchables plus one of our catching prospects. Honestly I think we've got such a log jam at starting pitching it might be creating issues with developing some of them.
Totally agree. That'd be the tough question, development vs. what he can give you now. They were patient on Riley, and it's turned out pretty well. Hard to know what they think of Pache on the offensive side, if it's real or needs more time.
Every metric says he should be. K's are down, walks are up, power is up, BABIP is high as always with his speed/athleticism.
The way I see it both Ender and Pache are in AA right now and only one of them has a future with the big club
My sources are telling me the Braves ownership feels better about their chances next year with no clear closer and starting rotation and therefore are going to sit
I guess since the cat’s out of the bag, I’m an executive with Liberty Media and I like to leak info to random blogs on twitter because I hate baseball writers
The fun conversation now is Stroman has taken the Blue Jays off of his Twitter and IG bios. People also are reacting to his likes on there lol. Let the speculation begin.
Klaw updated Top-50 prospect list: #6 (!!!!!) - Cristian Pache, OF, ATL #36 - Ian Anderson, RHP, ATL Honorable mention: Kyle Wright, RHP, ATL Bryse Wilson, RHP, ATL
Yeah, he said post-Waters’ draft year that he couldn’t hit, so he’s definitely going to be on the lower side of Drew.
